Something tells me that using metaphors from the Deep South are not going to make the people of Illinois forget that he has no ties to the state.

Keyes is being set up for yet another failure. He knows it, and is just trying to bring up issues he wants to be addressed.

its good to see that Keyes didn't flip-flop on the issue of being from Illinois, though. He roundly criticized Hillary for running in New York, and has said that he still doesn't agree with it in principal. But he's still doing it. Taking one for the team, I guess.

Meh- Keyes is the sacrificial lamb here- the Republican party doesnt want him in Senate any more than the Democrats do- I dont think any candidate wants to step up and get defeated roundly, especially coming in at this late stage.
