paging JeeberD re: Mike Price

Just listened to an interview he did with the local sports radio station. He said he feels great loyalty to Bob Stull and UTEP for giving him a 2nd chance and can't see leaving for at least 3-4 years. Said he is extremely unlikely to ever coach at Washington - he's a Cougar at heart.

Yeah despite what SI says Price is a stand up guy.

Did you hear Softy talking with Ed Cunningham today. He thinks (Ed) that the Huskies are going to go after Tedford from Cal! He also thinks that they have a chance to land him because of how screwed up Cal's program is at the hierarchy levels....

Yup, he's a mercenary, leave-to-go-to-the-overblown-SEC-school Cougar at heart.

I'm kidding, of course. I'm only popping off because of how good a fit I think Price was for WSU. I was sorry to see him depart, and thought it a poor career move before all the crap hit the fan, but wish him well regardless.

I actually listed to that interview earlier today, someone posted a link to it at the UTEP board. It's good to hear him say that in person, but he's already said the same thing in several newspaper interviews. I trust him, too. I don't think he's going anywhere for a while...

Thanks, dawgfan.
