Battles In Normandy

Has anyone picked this one up yet? I just saw that Matrix has it on sale at $49.99 down from $59.99. I enjoyed Korsun Pocket but I haven't played it in a year or so. The sale and the digital download is making my mouse finger twitch.

I hate to dig up old threads, but I wanted to let the other grognards around here know that I found a demo for this game this morning. Gamespot had it and so did FilePlanet. According to the writeup, it has a tutorial and the Ardennes Offensive scenario to play. I'll have to go check out Matrix' website and see what it says there. FYI

And I'll thread-jack to offer a copy of Uncommon Valor in trade for another fairly recent wargame (or I'll sell it if you prefer).

I've been looking at this game a lot, I never played Korsun Pocket, but the system looks interesting, I tried the demo and was intrigued. Anyone got any experience with it?

I'm weak, I did end up buying BiN that weekend and I've really enjoyed it. To prove my weakness, I'm also in the process of downloading GGWaW.

There are many smaller scenarios in BiN as well as a large scenario that basically combines all the smaller scenarios. There is also an even larger campaign mod available that extends the largest scenario included with the game to more than 2 months.

I've found that the AI is very challenging, especially in the Caen area. I always have an exceedingly difficult time capturing Caen on the larger scenarios.

If you do end up buying, SSG has a couple of good strategy guides that really helped me when I was struggling.
