FOF 2k4: Tell me why this happens
The computer offers me a trade. Their 3rd round pick in the next draft for a player of mine. I look over the offer and realize that he is in his last year and an UFA after this year. I probably won't have the cap room to resign him so I go ahead and try to take the deal. Guess What: The trade can not be completed because this would put them over the salary cap.
Why does the computer offer you a trade that won't go through? Anyone else have this happen?

did you accept it or did you advance a week and do it?
they could've signed someone else during that time period that put them over the cap. |

This happened right after training camp and before the preseason week one games are played.
