FM Help: Game Stops After Goal

I know I have run into this before and got past it, but for the life of me, I can't remember it now.

I am in the middle of a match, and a goal is scored. After it goes back to the regular (non-pitch screen), the game just sits there, as if I hit pause. You can hear the crowd sounds and click on things, but the match clock and action will not start up again.

Very annoying bug, BTW, and one that I thought was listed as fixed in the last patch.

Without help, I might have to close the game altogether to get it going again, which means pretty much starting over (my last save game is the opening save that I always do on new careers--still in the first friendly schedule in this one).

Happened to me twice, but I usually just click a few things (view tactics or something) come back, and hit PLAY and away we go.

Yeah, that's sorta what I thought I used to do, too, but it isn't working. I have clicked away from this game to roster screens and league tables and everything udner the sun, and yet when I come back to the game, it still doesn't continue when I hit play.

Click on the time the goal was scored on the overview screen, it will replay the goal and then you can click on play again

Brilliant. Should have known a UK national and footy fan would know a way to get past this. Thank you.

What a stupid bug.

Yeah it really annoyed me the first time I saw it - I thought I was going to have to abandon the game until I found the way past it, I believe it is resolved in the next patch (5.0.3) when SI release it.
