NCAA Top Gun Challenge, Year 3
We are back for our third year of the FOFC NCAA Top Gun Challenge! Past results:
2003 winner: Shorty 2004 winner: Shorty 2005 winner: ?????? The rules are as follows. 1) Each participant drafts a team of 6 players. 2) Snake draft done on the forum. 3) You score as many points as each of your drafted players scores in the NCAA tournament. 4) In the 6th round of the draft, you must select a player from a team seeded 10-16. The draft will begin as soon as the brackets are released next Sunday. The draft will end after 6 rounds or at the tip of game 1 on Thursday. Shorty will get a spot held for him if he wants and I'll take a spot. That leaves 8 spots left. Please only sign up if you will be active in the draft and available during normal daytime hours on FOFC! To sign up, just post your name and a letter from this list: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J The letter will assign you in the random draft order. After the first sign up, I will PM that guy a list of the letters and draft positions, then somebody can pick a letter for me. Finally, I will be looking for a volunteer to run the draft. Somebody who is on here and can post most of the day from work or whereever. Draft lists will be encouraged. With the small timeframe to finish the draft, there will be 1 hour time limits from 9 to 3 in the daytime. The draft co-ordinator can establish the rules.

Well I am def. around here enough, so I'm game. If you guys don't mind someone not in the multiple Ks of posts lot. How about the letter J.
Edit: Note to self: don't turn posts that need only be three words into three sentences, people will just ignore your longwinded self and miss crucial information. Double Edit: In other words: I'LL PICK J Last edited by Tigercat : 03-07-2005 at 10:47 AM. |

I was actually wondering the other day if you were going to do this again, Marm. Glad to see that you are.
I'm gonna pick J. Now let us see if I can repeat last year's stellar performance... Doh! Tigercat took my J... I'll go with D then...

I like picking last...that means I'm the only person to get 2 players in the top 11 picked! Anyway, Marmel does not lie, he is the first pick.

Henry, D was picked already, by Jeeber.
Radii, that would be a great help. I will still keep all the scores, but cannot be counted on to be here steadily during the day. Thanks!

No sweat. What were the rules last year? Something like, 1 hour to make your pick during the daytime time frame(which we have defined as 9am-3pm eastern), if you miss your pick then we continue the draft, but you can come back in and make up your pick at any time. I can keep things moving. And whee, 2nd pick. |

That is what we did last year. You can set whatever rules would be convenient for you though.
