I just read an article about how awkward the whole thing is for CBS, especially in light of Brokaw's send off last year. Apparently there is a station in Michigan that is giving its viewers the option to vote for whether they want to watch the Rather special (without a specific fill-in show), and he's losing big...to "unknown."

A Dan Rather Special is just another Dan Rather Special, the "unknown" could be anything....it could even be a Dan Rather Special!

Not sure exactly what crogged means. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

it's only bad if Rather shoots a load in Cronkite's face.

Yeah, but this is the same way presidential races are, too. Bush was losing to unknown, too, last year. But when you put John Kerry's name in there, go figure, it went up.

Who do you like in the NCAA Tourney? Illinois or Unknown? The field's always an easy bet.
