You Pick: Ultimate Road Trip Mix

Everyone (if interested) pick 1 or 2 songs they would include on a road trip..

Part of this is inspired as I am driving to Florida for Spring Break shortly, so I need some suggestions, but in general, what would you guys deem road trip music..

My pick..

#1 - Danger Zone - Top Gun Soundtrack

Lawyers, Guns, and Money by Warren Zevon is another great road song. And I'd add Kashmir by Led Zeppelin.

Mordred - Esse Quam Videri (remix) - fun song to crank, funk thrash metal with a DJ
Last Crack - Mini-Tobaggan - best song I've ever heard for flying down the highway, middle of night, windows/top down

dola...

Why is that everyone thinks they make the best mix tapes (CDs) but no one else ever gets it??

Or is it just me?

The Libertines - Don't Look Back Into The Sun
Rolling Stones - Gimmie Shelter
Beck - Loser
Bob Dylan - Meet Me In The Morning
Jeff Beck Group - Spanish Boots
Kings of Leon - The Bucket

I associate all these songs with driving aimlessly down very straight highways in the middle of Nevada, so perfect for road trips.

Because it's an inherently personal thing, isn't it?

You say hello, inside I'm screaming I love you
You say goodnight, in my mind
I'm sleeping next to you
You drive away from my car crash of a heart
And I don't know

But you gave me the best mixtape I have
And even all the bad songs ain't so bad
I just wish there was so much more than that
About me and you

You talk to him, and it burns me like the sun
You talk to her, and you say that you feel like he's the one
I talk to me, but you can't hear the pain I feel
You don't know

Cause you gave me the best mixtape I have
And even all the bad songs ain't so bad
I only wish there was more than that
About me and you

Oh, don't turn around and say bye again
Yeah it crushes my head when you call me
Your friend and I'm not the same person
From back in the day in the back of the class
that you thought was gay
No I can't find the words cause I lost them
The minute they fell out of my mouth
And it's love and I'm in it, so give me your lips
And just let me kiss 'em
and let's get messed up and listen to possibly...

The best mixtape I have
And even all the bad songs ain't so bad
I just wish there was more than that
About me and you
