Too bad it won't last LONGER THAN THE 1970'S!!!

I watched one show and didn't like it at all. I can't understand how a show like this never progresses. It's too bad the 70's couldn't have just stuck around. I miss afro's, good music, and Jimmy Carter.

Bah. The show will go away for a year or two, and then the starving former cast will return in "That 80's Show"

I think they already tried a "That 80's Show" a few years back. It was a totally different cast. I think it lasted all of 3 or 4 episodes.

They already tried That 80's Show several years ago.

I didn't see it; all I remember is the same commercial over and over with a guy talking into a cell phone nearly as big as his head.

2 things I remember about the 80's show was the smoking hot punk chick and that stand up comedian Margaret something who owned the record shop, I always thought she was the funniest of the early 90's chick comedians but she never really made it.

Edit: Oh, and that is was a horrible show.

Margaret Cho? The short, Asian woman. Very bitter and sarcastic?

She ended up with her own sit-com and HBO special. I have no idea what happened to her after that.

From TV Tome:

Much more interesting than the story of the show itself was the story of a little email battle that waged (and leaked) between co-creator Mark Brazill and Judd Apatow -- who was doing another FOX show called Undeclared the same year -- after Apatow attempted to get That '70s Show star Topher Grace to make a guest appearance on his series. Filled with such classy lines as "Die in a fiery accident and taste your own blood" and "See ya at the upfronts, bitch... unless you get cancelled before that," the tastefully-restrained tale of lies, deceit and alleged intellectual property theft probably got both of their shows cancelled without anybody ever bothering to look at any of the ratings.

First off, I have always enjoyed That 70's Show. I think is is stupid they are going to try a full season without Eric though. That character was the center of the show. And is Hyde even living with the Foreman's at this point? Because if he isn't, then Red and Kitty (Eric's dad and mom) have little reason to be in every episode, and they are two of the funnier characters.

Anyways, that was basically the end of the show for me.

That 80's Show was horrible. Maybe they tried it too soon, or just couldn't get good writing, but I had hopes it would be good before they put it on the air.

I used to watch this show pretty regularly. It started to lose its appeal several years ago when the kids were in their mid-20's, but the show was still written as though they were 15. And watching Wilder go through puberty (actually, hearing him is probably more accurate) was just painful.
