How Many Do You Carry at Each Position?
With the relaxed rules in the latest version of FOF, people now have more license than ever to short-man or over-man position groups.
Regardless of SP or MP, I use the following numbers religiously. What about you guys? QB: 3 RB: 3 FB: 2 TE: 3 WR: 5 C: 3 G: 4 T: 4 P: 1 K: 1 DE: 4 DT: 4 ILB: 3 OLB: 4 CB: 5 S: 4 That's running 4-3. Running 3-4 I have 4 DEs, 3 DTs, 4 ILBs and 4 OLBs. |

I don't have a formula. If I have promising young players, or good reserves somewhere, I'll stash them rather than adjust to some pre-determined balance. Your list looks like a starting point, but I have no problem going into a given season with only one FB, or with seven CBs if the situation warrants it.

Yeah, I generally start with your breakdown, but I'll take a 4th RB and one less LB or CB with me. I like to have the balance that I don't have to automatically put a guy on the IR if I have an injury in a certain position group.

I'll take one less center in exchange for one more D-lineman.

My CB/S ratio varies by my budget and the skills of the players.
I like 3 TE's, and usually only carry 1 FB unless I find one in the draft who has high potential but needs to develop. I always have a 4th RB, and sometimes even a 4th QB. |

Mine is very similar. i assume you save the extra spots for best players available or something, which actually gives you the flexibility that QS wants.
My differences are that I carry one less center and safety and usually one extra QB, RB, ILB. I like to keep a full compliment of d-linemen and linebackers around so that I can switch between the 3-4 and the 4-3 depending on the strengths of my players |
