Unhappy Richard Pryor Dead?

His site is down but I saw this posted on another board a few moments ago.
Apparently there was a message before it went down.
Sad day.

Yes. He died at 8am this morning of a heart attack.

His site should be back up shortly. The high volume of hits is drowning it right now.

The server has been called, and they are trying to somehow keep the site up with the high volume.

Loved this guy so much as a kid. Idolized his sense of humor. The Wanted album was played in secret in my bedroom about a billion times. I am happy he is no longer in pain.

Alright. The post on the site was the press release I posted above.

Don't expect the site back up for a minute either. The tech guys are being no help at all. All they're now saying is that "If you fix this and that, the site will be more stable..."

Man. This sucks.

My favorite thing from growing up was in the movie "See No Evil, Hear No Evil" which predated the dude from Comedy Central. He was the blind guy sitting on a train and was like, "I'm black??!!!!???"

Same here. He's actually the third or fourth guy to die this year that I was surprised to find out they were still alive.
