Personal Taco Bell Records
For the second time in as many months, I completed a ten taco (hard shell) meal in about half an hour. Since I'm an infrequent Taco Bell customer, I was wondering where that fits on the FOFC ladder of Taco Bell gastronomical events.
Oddly enough, I'm feeling a little bloated right now.

My personal best at one sitting was 3 of the 1/2 lb. Beef and Potato burritos and 3 of the 1/2 lb. combination burritos.
I set another record for sitting later that day as well...

I'm not much for taco bell. The best I've done at fast food was 5 whoppers at Burger King.

When I was in Erie for school they had an all you can eat Whopper night at the Millcreek Mall. It was all you can eat whoppers and fries for $7. I ate 6 whoppers that night and took another 6 home.

I don't remember the quantities, but I remember in 1994 dollars I once bough $11 worth of food product at Taco Bell and downed it all. That earned me great acclaim from my friends who weren't there when I when the dining hall deviled egg eating contest with 24.

I remember sitting down and have 12 hard shell tacos twice back in 1994. The cashiers thought I was nuts.

In 1991 after a night of binge drinking with my shipmates while in port at San Diego we decided to hit Taco Bell to finish off the evening.
Scott had 4 ultimate everything burritos, he simply said "put everything in them twice..." he almost didn't finish the 4th. Vince has 2 full dozen soft tacos, chicken and beef flavors, he chased this with 64 oz of Dr. pepper. Vince won the time challenge because he did all that in exactly 22 minutes.(downing the soda almost took longer than eating the soft tacos) I had 2 nachos bell grande, 4 soft tacos 6 beef and cheese burritos, and finished with an even dozen hard shell tacos with extra hot sauce. I finished before scott, but 8 minutes after Vince. I chased my dinner with a 6-pack we had in the car. Not sure if that rates with y'all, but it was a personal best. |

one time at red lobster all you can eat shrimp, I had the scampi and coconut shrimp, followed by the pasta, followed by 5 more scampis. Everyone I worked with was waiting on me to finish. And I still had room for another scampi

A 10-pack of TB tacos-to-go in a box used to be a frequent meal for me when I was in H.S. and early college.

I could destroy all of you guys, and I'm not even remotely fat.
I recently ate 12+ crab cakes in 5 minutes at an impromtu eating contest at Boss Tweed's in Bellingham. I was ready for more, but that was mostly adrenaline. I puked within 3-4 minutes of finishing. The best thing, is that I still love shellfish. I also still think salmon (and most fish) is disgusting, but I'll eat as many oyster po' boys as I can before passing out. Maybe I'm a freak of nature.

One time me and a friend ordered 25 hamburgers from McDonalds during one of those .25 cent promotions. I ate 11 of those.

I don't have any records, but my sales manager downed 40 McDonald's chicken nuggets in 30 minutes a day after another co-worker ate 30 wendy's chickn nuggets.

No records to claim, but I do have this creeping fear that I can eat an almost unlimited amount of Taco Bell food. At least as far as chalupas/Meximelts/tacos go.
My personal best for massive eating was in college at WSU. Me and my buddies would starve ourselves all day and then hit the all-you-can-eat pizza at Pizza Haven. I once ate 20 pieces (medium slices, incuding the crust) in one sitting. They had to roll me out. Scary thing was my friend ate 21.

My Taco Bell record: Our trombone section (I think some baritone and tenor sax guys came with us) in college marching band ordered 300 tacos (one of us found a coupon that allowed tacos for some absurdly low price, 30 cents or something--NO LIMIT). We ate them all; there were 40 of us.
That is still the only time I've ever had Taco Bell. |

Back in college, a local place had all you can eat ribs. I'm not talking small ribs, these were big spare ribs. The latter ones became nasty but I ate 17 of them. My best friend Alex (who was only about 110 pounds) ate 18 of them. I paid for dinner.

I didn't do this, but I bore witness to it: while at the Belagio brunch buffet in Vegas a friend consumed 22 and 2/3 strips of bacon (in addition to a metric buttload of other stuff). Why 2/3 of a strip? The rest of the table (consisting of about 10 other people) had consumed 44 slices. So he wanted to make it 66.6 slices 'cuz he likes the devil.
He then spent the entire afternoon and evening in bed. I believe the devil won that day. |

In my younger days, I once ate 24 Whities jalapeno cheeseburgers during a lunch break at work. I wasn't very productive the rest of that night.

My all time best was 10 McDonald's Cheeseburgers during one episode of X-files. This was during the .35 cheesburger promotion period.

At least I am not the only one who is a fan of the double decker supreme. We used to have Taco Bell in our Union at college, and I ate lunch there every day for three months and order 2 double decker supremes and a nacho every time. Ah... fond memories

I shouldn't have opened this thread while eating dinner.
Meanwhile I don't think I have any eating records personally. I had a friend through undergrad who ate 2 Chipotle burritos for lunch every day. Skinny little girl she was, too! /tk

I read this title for a second, and thought it was "Personal Tecmo Bowl Records." Then i got really really sad because there hasnt been a tecmo bowl in forever, and likely will never ever be a new one.

When I played high school football, after an away win the coaches would pay for the offensive lineman's food, but only if they ate everything they ordered. So, if you ordered two double cheeseburgers, for example, you had to eat both. I thought I'd be funny and told the coaches I wanted a 16 piece bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken, and they bought it -- and watched me eat every single piece on the ride home.
I was sick for days. |

What was the beauty of it all is that I didn't gain any weight from it. Granted I worked out a decent amount but I think it had more to do with my rediculously high metabolism. The huskey comes from me being a UConn Husky fan. I screwed up my intial registration so I had to change Husky to Huskey.

Ah...that makes sense. Unfortunately, my metabolism gave up a long time ago and was last seen hitchhiking in New Mexico.

Bump. Those Blackjack Tacos aren't bad, with a little Hot Sauce. Picked up a couple tonight on the way to the house. When did they get rid of the chili cheese burritos btw? Those things used to be perfect at 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning after a night out.
