EA Sports + ESPN = Live In Game Sports Updates

Haven't see this before. Sounds like it could be pretty cool.

I remember NBA Live 99 had a feature where you could get the real NBA scores during the game. The problem was that back then, almost nobody, or next to nobody had an "Always on" connection, and it caused the game to lock. I couldnt play the game for a few weeks until i found some sort of work around.

Sounds like a feature I'd want to turn off. If I'm playing a video game, I don't want it to be interrupted for real life sports updates. If there's a game on that I'm interested in, then I'm usually watching it instead of playing a video game. Of course, that's just me...I'm sure there are people out there that would want this.

Bee, it's not "interrupting" you exactly. It doesn't pull you away from the game. It's kinda like how you get the sports ticker at :58 when ESPN televises events.

That's just great. Another feature in an EA Sports game that fails to improve the product. That's the last thing they need right now. Concentrating on making an actual 'next-gen' football game for the Xbox 360 or PS3 would probably be a better idea.

How about allowing me to create a franchise with two human teams?

That was in EA Sports games in 99 and then tossed out.

I don't care much for that either.

They added this thing (which may or may not be nice), but they couldn't fix nearly crippling slowdown in the MVP NCAA baseball game that features it. what
