Why is it I feel like I can't play PC games anymore without writing a dynasty?

It's the strangest thing... A lot of times I'll just want to play CK or FOF or TPB or OOTP or something and not have to write a dynasty about it, just go at the pace I want to and just play.

But then I fire the games up and I start playing... and immediately I start constructing dynasty ideas around them and want to stop playing so I can go write the dynasty's first post.

Only I'm not in the mood for writing anything at all at the time; not PC game dynasties, not IRC RP, not short stories, not work on a novel, not programming, NOTHING! I just want to play and that's all.

But I can't do that with PC games.

Yet, I don't have that problem at all with console games. Unfortunately my crappy universal remote won't let me switch over to my PS2 and there's no mode on my TV to be able to do it... I've no idea where my TV's actual remote went to.

So why can't I do it? Why can't I just play? Is it that I'm afraid if something really awesome, really amazing happens, I'm the only one who'll care and understand? Is it because things will happen in the game that I won't remember after playing for a long time that I want to?

I don't know, I really don't.

I've been this way for about the past three or four years now. I think it started the first time I wrote an OOTP dynasty.
