Mr. McMahon & Shane McMahon vs. Shawn Michaels & God

Mr. McMahon & Shane McMahon vs. Shawn Michaels & God

April 30, 2006

For months, the McMahon Family has been making Shawn Michaels’ life a living hell. But just when HBK thought he had won the war, he found out that his thinking was far from the truth. At Backlash, Michaels must face both Shane & Mr. McMahon, but he has a faithful partner on his side: God.
One night after WrestleMania 22, HBK came out on RAW to address the crowd. He said that he was looking forward to getting over his spat with the McMahons, and was looking forward to perhaps challenging for the WWE Championship. Mr. McMahon, however, had a different idea.
The WWE Chairman and son Shane came out to rebut, telling Michaels that it was divine intervention that helped him to victory at WrestleMania. Mr. McMahon then told HBK that no one ever wins a war against the McMahons, and that he would need God’s help again at Backlash, because God would be his partner against them in a tag team match.
Will divine intervention help the Showstopper overcome the odds one more time on April 30?

Am I the only guy expecting a big boot beside the ring, and HBK making the hot tag, so we can see a giant thumb crushing Vince?

This reminds me of an article on the old Scoopsthis.com site from the late 90s (It was "The Onion" of wrestling - great stuff, only availabled cached on Google now)

Satan Signs with WWF
"No cause for alarm," says WWF's Kevin Kelly

(Dec 7, 98) THE DARK RIVERS OF T'SHALHE, HL -- Our insiders have learned that the World Wrestling Federation has signed Satan, lord of Hades and high prince of darkness, to a 3 year deal worth approximately $7,150,000, and which includes a clause for the soul of Shane McMahon's first born.

"I guess it was a bit silly of us to think we could keep this kind of news a secret for very long," admitted WWF's Kevin Kelly yesterday. "But let's not make too big an issue of this. Ol' Sates has been a big fan of our product and we can't wait for him to debut alongside the Undertaker in the near future."

STc started persuing this story when news first broke that the WWF had purchased commercial air time during this Winter's NFL Superbowl, hinting that it had something big up its sleeve for WrestleMania.

We caught up with his dark majesty and collected these comments.

"I am happy to be joining such a great and talented company as the World Wrestling Federation. Chairshots were getting stale, I'm happy to see they have progressed into exploring armed attacks in the home, homosexuality, marital infidelity (extra points for getting that child involved), spontaneous human combustion, burning crosses and mock crucifixion."

"Now that technology has advanced sufficiently for automation to handle most of the pestilence and misery work, I am free to partake in some of the guiltier pleasures of the mortal realms which have now gone mainstream thanks to the WWF."

"I have no idea what gimmick they have ready for me, but I think I'd make a good fighting plumber."

This has the potential to be pretty funny if they pull it off right.

God is too stiff and careless in the ring. Look what happened when he did a diving headbut on Abraham's son.

He might make a good manager though.

I think this is the first time Vince McMahon has ever brought anyone in and allowed them to use their old gimmick.

Just watching Raw now - the skit with Shane and Mr McMahon in the church was hilarious

I imagine he may get a couple of complaints though

God eh? Is WWE really reaching that deep to find new wrestlers?

Or are they just trying to reach out to the untapped bloodthirsty Christian audience?

I think it's the second. At least to get their attention so they get mentioned in the media.
