XBOX 360 Question

Ok, so I'm going to plunk down $400 for a 360 soon. Question: Can you connect the 360 to your computer to copy down MP3's?

Reason I ask is I want to use it as a jukebox (hooked up to a flat panel monitor and stereo) in my pool room.

Thanks.

dunno about a computer, but I have my 360 hooked up to my mp3 player. It will play the songs but won't copy them.

You can do it a couple of ways....

Easiest way is to go in and try and get your 360 to connect on a network, it will give you a web address for xbox.com to download Media Connect for your PC.

Install Media Connect, and you are able to share files from the PC to the 360...I have done this really easy with Media Center PC's using the 360 as a media extender, but you can also do it with a standard XP machine.

You have to have Media Center installed on your PC in order for this to work, FYI.

Nah, you can use media center extender on a non-MCE machine. My laptop is Xp SP2 and I can stream music to the xbox from here.

one of the prime uses we get out of the 360 is it streams our pictures and music from one of the computers upstairs. works great and is pretty straight forward to setup.

Ouch, no faith here....I thank dervack for countering this for me...

I went to bed early, but I have done this on several XP2 machines on our trucks.

That's cool. I tried it without having Media Center installed and could get it to work. After installing Media Center, it works.

Sorry to confuse.
