So long to the FX, welcome the FX2
I just read that nvidia is stopping production on the FX (nv30) and turning to the FX2 (nv35), I image it will have a 256bit memory path and DDR2 memory... Hopefully they will fix the noise problem.. here is the link;
http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=7658 Nvidia is starting to look more and more like 3Dfx, big huge cards at produce alot of heat and take up alot of space... I just hope they don't go the way of 3Dfx, you know down the shitter...

I thought NVidia bought 3dfx. It would follow that they would end up the same way.
Side note: I just got an ATI Radeon 7500 AIW VE PCI. Pretty good so far, and The TV part actually suprisingly kicks ass. Wonder If I can hook up my X-Box to it for high-res. Anyone know? |

You actually believe something that's printed in The Enquirer?

I don't belive the enquirer so much as I believe Nvidia has to change the FX, it's just not as fast as it should be... If they would have just put in a 256bit memory path, I think Nvidia has some thinking to do...

The similarities between this and 3dfx being overtaken by NVidia are almost eerie, no?

Does NVidia just make the chipsets for other companies video boards, or do they actually have their own branded boards? Wasn't that what killed 3dfx... tried to take on too much too soon . ie, instead of just focusing on making kick ass video cards they tried to take on the whole package?
