FOFC: Biggest Jerk In Sports Survivor
In line with Kodos' Survivor thread, I thought I would throw out this one.
Each day, we shall eliminate the most socially acceptable sports jerk. The goal is to have the biggest jerk in sports as the ultimate survivor. |

Dola...perhaps we should allow for two wildcard entries after the first two eliminations.
Suggestions? Last edited by Swaggs : 02-21-2003 at 01:11 AM. |

It is BEAUTIFUL to see Evil Incarnate leading the early vote over a double murderer, rapist and several other jerks. Y'all have restored my faith in FOFC.

But we're voting on is the LEAST offensive of these jerks, not the most. I may be wrong, but I think people are missing the boat on the poll. Either that or there are a butt-load of !@#$%&* Irish fans up in the morning at FOFC.

Glad to help out! To me, Notre Dame is the combined Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees of college football. There are those who love them, and then there is everyone else who loves to hate them.

I hate Notre Dame, but I voted for them as the least offensive of this putrid group.

That's what I'm confused about. Before I vote, someone clarify. I think the goal is to have the most offensive person left standing, so you should be voting for least offensive.
By analogy, if this were the music poll, Backstreet Boys would end up the winner after everyone else was voted off.

Honestly, if I didn't route for them, I would hate them. And I've come across many of the arrogant ND fans that other fans love to hate. Fact is, sometimes it's fun to be a fan of a team that people despise. I'm a Bengals fan, too. Nobody hates them. They feel pity for them. Which one is more fun to follow?
For what it's worth, I am in no way a bandwagon fan as many Notre Dame fans are perceived to be. I latched on as a youth during the Gerry Faust years when the wheels had fallen off the bandwagon. |

The goal is to have the biggest jerk in sports left at the end of this Survivor. So, we are voting off the least offensive of the 10 biggest sports jerks in this thread. Tomorrow, the thread will be reborn w/ the 9 remaining jerks on board, and so on and son, until we are left with the ultimate sports jerk.
I suggest adding a wild card because I realized I missed some people like Rasheed Wallace (and all of the NBA), Bobby Knight (and all of NCAA Basketball), and Al Davis, among others. Any suggestions for the two wild cards? |

I think people are misunderstanding the poll. Also, it was really a tough choice. I ended up going for cryogenic boy.

Had to vote for Jerry. Gotta support the owner. And I'm shocked that Terrel Owens isn't in this...

Unless there is a big push tonight, it looks like Notre Dame Football will be the first jerk voted off the island.
Mike Tyson looks to be one of the biggest favorites to become the FOFC Biggest Jerk Survivor. Will his fight this weekend propel him into the finals? |

If you notice, ND is the only one that isn't a person. I think that had a lot to do with it. It's much easier to pinpoint "jerkiness" in a single individual, as opposed to an institution. I don't fault anyone currently related to ND football for what they've become - that arrogance took years to develop.
Plus, Willingham's a good guy and the team did well this past year. Hard to root against him.

She's not a jerk, just pathetic. There's a difference.
Unless she's "hubcapped" you, then I guess you could call her a jerk.

Gruden's a good guy. Why did he coach for Al Davis?
