I dunno. Jason Lee as David Seville sounds intriguing. And I think it's cool that Ross Bagdasarian's son is voicing Alvin.

Remember, Alvin and the Chipmunks were created in the 50's. What we saw in the 80's was already a remake... or at least the latest incarnation.

I was hoping this would be Jem.

I guess that would have been truly outrageous though.

Not sure that I am interested (although I did watch the Saturday cartoon when I was a kid), but this seems like a no-brainer, great idea to me. Make a cute movie for kids that will sell tons of merchandise.

Jason Lee is also voicing Underdog in the forthcoming film, I believe. Did he just have kids or something?

I think Alvin and the Chipmunks was one of the first series I watched that was spoken English and didn't have subtitles (stupid British TV didn't have Dutch subtitles in the 80's).

So, when' the M.A.S.K. movie coming out, or did I miss it already?

Alvin won't be a cinematic classic, but I'm sure it'll be better than the dreck known as Underdog. And I can't wait for the GIJOE movie, it has to be made eventually....right?

Underdog looks to be exactly like Garfield, a movie that could have been made to connect with the kids (now adults) who grew up with it, but sadly was aimed at those peoples' kids instead.

Dola. I take that back, they did throw the older guys a bone by including Jennifer Love Hewitt, but she obviously had nothing to do with the cartoon. Quite the opposite, actually, since I don't think Jon was anything but a loser with the chicks.

I don't remember. I thought he was just hot for her. If she gave him a date, he undoubtedly did something to screw it up, right?
