Anyone traveling from Flint, MI to Detroit or Chicago on New Years day?: Need a favor
This is ridiculous by my fiance' is pretty bummed out so I thought I'd try this as a last resort!
We were supposed to pick up a new pomeranian dog from my brother's girlfriend's coworker. My fiance and I now live in the Chicago area and are leaving by train on Thursday. The guy with the dog, who lives 1.5 hours away from his work, was supposed to drop it off tomorrow at work for my brother's girlfriend to give to us. He now has the day off and is not at all interested in driving the dog to us or even meeting us halfway. He's actually been quite uncooperative as I even offered to try and find a ride out there to work around his schedule to meet him etc. but he said he didn't want to on "his day off." Whatever...Because my fiance' and I do not have a car here with us we are limited in our options. The dog is near Flint, MI and we are at my parents house, south of Detroit in Trenton. Of course I could probably borrow one of my parents' cars but I feel bad asking as it is about a 2 hour drive each way and they both have leased vehicles. Of course, I can ask but I figured I'd try this crazy option first to see if we get lucky. If you could possibly help, PM me and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. This is quite ridiculous to even ask but I've seen crazier things on this forum and figured we had nothing to lose. Thanks and God bless you for considering! It will make my fiance's New Year!

Mike, this is your buddy Craig.
I live exactly half way between Flint and Trenton, if I would have known yesterday Mon I probibly could have done it. Hour to flint couple hours to you than back probibly 4 hours total for me but right now its snowing and we are suppose to get 6-10 inches of snow today. I am not sure I want to spend new years day on a road trip in a blizzard but if you have some " insentives" I think it over. Going to bed now but will check back here mid day and see how the conditions are. |

I agree this is ridiculous: 1. Pomeranian 2. Lease - you are talking about 200-300 miles on your parent's lease. If that's a serious issue, rent a car for 25 bucks and pick up the dog. I would recommend deleting this post and reconsidering your options. Also, my sympathy on the dog you now own. Last edited by Desnudo : 01-01-2008 at 02:30 AM. |

Craig, this is your BRO Freddy!
Are you sure you have time to do this? What with all the housework, making up of fake names, joining forums with fake names, trashiing peoples leagues and just all around stupidness - I would think your days are completely full!! Hope it works out for you Mike - I could think of 5 million people better than "BigDawg" to help you out. Quote:

WOW , to think Freddy made a brand new account just to take a stab at me goes to show how his league and guys still over their are a bunch of EGO maniacs and how dare any former members have a conversation on line without mentioning him or NFLS... LOL Just to point out I am sure some no life NFLS guy made some name than caused trouble than tried to say he was me, I haven't been on your site since I left over a year ago. Also this concept I trash leagues, like to point out of the approx 25 leagues I played in over the last 10 years 24 of those commishes who tell you what a great guy I am and probably one of the most active and helpful owners they have had... except one of course Freddy and the NFLS. Just glad to see you guys are still obsessed with me as I haven't given you or your league a second thought since I left. |

Craig thanks for the offer that was awfully nice of you. I do not know the whole story of what happened with the NFLsim but I know that when I created in and commished it there wasn't anything close to this going on. Regardless of who is "at fault" it's ridiculous with everything else going on in the world today. Maybe we all have some growing up to do...some more than others? Again, I do not know the story and frankly do not care to know the story as ANY video game simulation league just will not get my blood boiling (after all, my CFL Vikings are 0-6!). Too many other things in life.
Happy New Year everyone. FYI, we did not get the dog as the guy avoided our phone calls all day before we headed back to Chicago. Classy guy! Probably better off. Thanks for reading and making fun of my situation ha. I'd expect nothing less from FOFC! |
