The Parody

A young man received a parody as an early Christmas gift. The parody had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. He tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to 'clean up' the bird's vocabulary. Finally, He was so fed up that he yelled at the parody. The parody just yelled back. He shook the parody and the parody only got angrier and ruder.

In desperation, he threw up his hands, grabbed the bird and shoved him in the freezer. For a few moments the parody squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly there was total quiet - Not a peep was heard for over a minute.

Fearing that he'd hurt the parody, he quickly opened the door of the freezer.

The parody calmly stepped out onto his outstretched arms and said:

"I believe I have offended you with my rude language and actions. I'm sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior." The young man was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude. As he was about to ask the parody what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird continued....

"May I inquire as to what the turkey did?"

I was in a hurry out the door, but it seemed like a good one at the time. I tried to find that picture with a parrot that says This is a Parroty Thread but I couldn't find it before I left work.

I kept waiting for parody to be relevant.

This joke would actually be funny if it was, you know, a parrot.
