Well you have a new, powerful outfield in a few years. The catcher may be too old to reach his big potential, but he could be good. The 4th rounder will probably never get there, and the pitcher might be good but will give up a ton of homers. Overall, considering the AI drafted, thats darn good.

- Thank you for the wonderful laugh, I didn't know you were such a comedian, but the amount of money in your contract offer was nothing less than comedy in its purest form!

- There is no way I will accept this package. I'd like at least two more years and a lot more cash or you can take a hike.

- I have a family to think about, and there is no way I can make ends meet with the money you're offering me.

Well good grief. Spring training just confused the issue greatly for me. Tough choices.. go with over the hill veterans that I can reasonably map out what their diminished expected results will be, or go with youth that are complete wildcards.

I want to see if J Negron can really hack it as a starter. He had a bad season in Montreal last year as a reliever, but with Y Asai stinking up the joint, I could really use another member of the rotation (Rod Davis has shown he can't hack it, so he is now long relief).
