What Better?? 80's Sitcom Families

In my next installment of What Better?? I give you 80s sitcom families. What family would you want to be in if you could, which one is the best in your opinion. The choices are:

The Cosby's

The Keaton's

The Arnold's

The Seaver's

The Tanner's

The Bundy's

The Connor's

The Wonder Years is my fave show of all time (except for maybe The Wire), but there ain't no better family to be in than The Cosbys.

The wonder years is really out of place on this list. All the other shows were set in contemporary times, and it was set in the 60s.

Yeah true Steve. It should've been 80s sitcoms set in the 80s.

The Cosby family had the cash and definitely the sweetest pad of the bunch.

Keatons barely edge them out though imo. Seem a little more liberal as parents and a better place to run amok as a kid.

The rest aren't even close. Wonder Years would be my pick for best show of the bunch but I wouldn't want to live there, its probably the closest to an actual family.

The Tanner family is a damn circus. You have to end up screwed up.

I can think of few things worse than being forced to grow up in any of these families. The constant, canned laughter would drive me insane.

The interesting thing about the Cosbys is that those kids were pretty screwed up considering their parents' status and novel parenting techniques. Theo and Denise were pretty hardcore slackers, and Theo was a borderline criminal. Sandra seemed to do a little better in school, but her career never materlalized. At least she married well (Elvin was a doctor, right?) Rudy was certainly no prize either, she seemed to get dumber as the series went along.

For sheer freedom of activity, I would pick the Bundy's. You could do damn near anything in that family and nobody would care. The Keaton's had one of the better, close-knit family units.

Interestingly enough, nobody has picked the Connor's....

No-That was Raven Simone(sp). Keeshia Knight Pullam(sp) was rudy. Raven came on the show as Denise's step daughter.

Tough choice between Cosby and Keaton, but I went with Cosby's.

That was a bit of a make shift family with Angela and Jonathan being the Bowers and Tony and Samantha being the Macelli's.

My thoughts exactly.

Gotta go Cosby. Bill would be a hilarious dad, they were loaded, cultured and had a great approach to discipline.

My real life family was practically the Arnolds [or the "Malcolm in the Middle" fam]
