Lions break the streak!

Lions win! Lions win!

Albeit a preseason game.

This game is meaningless, the losing streak stands.

Yay Lions?

Until it counts and all the teams are playing their a-squads, I wouldn't get too hopeful. Kind of like when the Raiders beat the Cowpokes earlier this week.

The Lions have now won 5 preseason games in a row (at least, not sure what they did in 2007). The Lions first team defense got beat up pretty good by the first team offense of the Falcons. Turner ran for 63 yards on 6 carries, and Ryan went 5/7 for 33 yards (3 completions to Roddy White).

The Lions starters are once again looking horrible. Getting crushed by the Cleveland Browns 20-0 after 1 quarter.

Can't really blame the Lions here... Paul Brown is one helluva coach, Jim Brown & Marion Motley can run through anybody, and Otto's not too bad either.

You know its not a good night when CBS Sportsline puts this up:

12:41:42 amLions coach Jim Schwartz sidestepped a question about the quarterback battle between Matthew Stafford and Daunte Culpepper on a night when Drew Stanton looked best. He spoke instead about what the team will concentrate on this week in practice.

Probably not a good thing that the third string quarterback had the best night.

11 vs. 9... and the 3rd QB looks better than both?

What is this, 1992?
