IWS #167 -- The Results

IWS #167 is in the books. We got the chance to learn about ourselves here at FOFC. There were several interesting strategy's employed - but the one thing that became clear very quickly was that IWS = Quiksand.

I really intended to have this be a diverse question, but it became the eliminator for 7 poor contestants. I guess the thread on the board with the most views and replies ever rules all.

This one narrowed the field a bit more. If you didn't pick one of the two top vote getters, you were done here. Quiksand and Pumpy ran neck and neck - but in the end big blue wins this race. Interesting that both Quiksand and Pumpy had ballots entered that had their name for all "people" questions.

I learned a lot from doing my first IWS. Where other questions were a little less diverse than I'd like, this was probably a little too spread out. It was very interesting to see the answers come in on this one though. In the final scores, this question was relatively forgiving.

I underestimated the "If all else fails, answer Quiksand" and "If all else fails, answer Pumpy Tudors" crowd here. I really though Jim Ginding would get top billing here, shows why I've only won 1 of these things. Good spread all around though. Several answers that could be had for a winner since no one got a perfect ballot.

You were doing very well early on (I tallied these as I got them in). For a bit it looked like you were going to get killed by using "fun" instead of "Entertaining". Up until about halfway through, if you would have used "Entertaining" instead of "Fun" you would have been tied for the lead.

Very few people on this board really stand out to me (in good or bad ways). I meet too many people in real life at my job to really worry that so and so is a dick or this guy got laid last night. The only people that tend to stand out are usually guys I've had direct conversations with regarding specific topics or guys in the RWBL with me. It just isn't really important to me.
