Hattrick Youth Pulls
I figured that we could all post our youth pulls on FOFC from now on.
Mine was less than eventful, the ONLY thing he had going for him was that he was 17. Youth Squad: Solid Sean Aguilar 3 000 US$, 17 years, passable form Has disastrous experience and passable leadership abilities Stamina: weak Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: poor Passing: poor Winger: wretched Defending: poor Scoring: poor Set Pieces: inadequate Now hitting the fire button... Currently I carry a 20yr old passable keeper as my starter and my reserve is a 22yo inadequate. Well look who showed up for practice this week:
Jose Ramon Bon 404 000 US$, 19 years, passable form Has disastrous experience and poor leadership abilities Stamina: wretched Keeper: solid Playmaking: disastrous Passing: disastrous Winger: disastrous Defending: disastrous Scoring: disastrous Set Pieces: wretched My question is do I keep him? If I do which keeper do I get rid of? If I sell him I will be well out of debt. On the other hand if I train keepe for a bit he may jump to excellent then I would really be out of debt. What does everyone think. Its nice to have to make these desicions isn't it? Also just looked through my division, I will predict that I go undefeated. Yes, I know a bold statement, but considering my run last year and the demoted team is new and sucks there shouldn't be much problem winning them all. The only thing a solid keeper would do is be there when I get promoted, 'cause I'll need one then. Otherwise I think that I could get by with the passable that I have now. edit:My youth squad is solid

Wow, nice grab Pilotman. Just too bad he's not 17. It's all according to how much you want to get out of debt. And if you think you can win your division with the passable Keeper, then I say sell the new guy.

Nice pull PilotMan! If you think you can go undefeated without a solid keeper, I would sell this guy, and then when you get promoted use the prize money to go out and get a solid keeper. And there is nothing better than getting of debt.

Good idea, but how about you also tell us the status of your youth squad when you post. That would be helpful to me since I have never had a decent pull and Im at inad right now.

I have a question for Pilotman or whoever who has a Youth Squad that is at a solid rating. How long did it take your Youth Squad to get to solid?
My Youth Squad has been at passable for two weeks. Still having some crappy youth pulls. Sorry could not post as I fired this weeks youth pull before I read this thread.

I saw in the conference that it takes 4 weeks of 20k spending to go from passable to solid. Not sure how accurate that is but the data has been correct for the other jumps.

I don't have exact records but 4 weeks from passable to solid seems a bit short. I seem to remember it being longer.

Actually, from what I have read it takes half of a season to go from passable to solid at 20k per week.

It takes a season to go from solid to excellent. Of course with my youth squad being weak, I guess that inadequate would be the next step.

I've been putting in 20k for a long time now, probably a season and a half in total, and it pays off. I have pulled up 3 goalies in about 10 or so weeks and 2 have been solid... i also regularly get some very solid outfielders as well...

it took about a half season for me to get from wretched to passable.
I hear it takes another half season to get to solid, then a full season to get from solid to excellent. oh, and my guy sucks. Luis Martínez 4 000 US$, 19 years, passable form Has disastrous experience and solid leadership abilities Stamina: poor Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: poor Passing: poor Winger: poor Defending: wretched Scoring: weak Set Pieces: weak

My youth pulls have been awful of late. I'm $250,000 in debt so I sold almost all my top notch players and left just the young, solid core (G and D) and now I am down to 15 players. I'm on total life support and if there was ever a time to pull an awesome pull, this would be it but no, I get crap. But no, I'm not bitter or anything. At least I have a new season to look forward to.

If it could make you feel better, you could be closer to passable than you think. I got my team on February 18, put the max on the youth squad right away (thanks evryone who urged me to do so ) and my youth squad jumped from inadequate to passable with this week's update. A little more than a month and a half... FrogMan

I think it takes longer than a season to get your youth team to higher than solid...i've been playing 2 seasons and have maxed my youth team the whole time and they are still only solid.
