Do you hunt?

Do we have any hunters out there? I know we have pro-gun lobby here.

I personally deer hunt. Archery, Muzzleloader and Rifle.
I would never hunt anything that I didn't intend to eat.

I could never bring myself to kill a living creature.

I'm not an animal rights activist or anything, I just personally couldn't do it.

I've never hunted, just didn't grow up in a family that did. I don't have a problem with it although, if I had to kill to eat, I'd probably be a vegetarian so, I'm fine with someone else doing the dirty work.

I hunt Deer mainly, archery, rifle, and sometimes muzzle loader.
Ducks, Doves, squirrel, rabbits...eat it all... Want to get some frogs and alligator but don't have access to those really...

I love eating wild game, so its great, I don't kill to just kill unless its snakes or coyote chasing deer

Nope, but I've got nothing against it as long as you're eating what you kill.

I've actually only hunted a few times in my life. Didn't grow up in a hunting family, and never really had the time to do it. My wife recently said she'd like to try it, so we may become more of a hunting family in the future.

I'll also add that I don't really have an issue if you eat it.

There are actually a number of programs out there (Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry, Sportsmen Against Hunger, etc.) that allow hunters to donate a deer that they've taken. Oftentimes the charity will pay for the cost of butchering the deer, and then the meat gets donated to a local food pantry.

FHFH is a religious organization, which may turn some folks off. On the other hand, they're helping food pantries and soup kitchens give the people they serve a healthy and protein rich meal. I think they're up to serving 1.2 million meals each year now.

Although I've killed a bird with my BB gun while growing up as a child, I've never found myself interested in hunting. I'm all for people that hunt to eat the carcass and hopefully find use out of as much of it as possible, but not interested in ever doing it myself.

Do not want to get political or threadjack, but I do question the need for certain types of guns... But that's just me.

Kind of like DanGarion, I'm a "no" since the extent of hunting I ever did involved underpowered BB guns & birds/squirrels too high in trees for me to do any damage.

My reason for not being a hunter is pretty simple: ain't nothing on earth worth getting up at that hour for & damned little on earth is worth spending that much time outside for.

I've been hunting once. I wasn't able to actually kill anything (not for lack of trying) and have no issue with it as long as you eat everything you kill (which we did). Hunting just for sport is wrong and I would not do that.

I would hunt as a kid with my Dad. As we drifted apart, so did my appetite for hunting. I still love fishing, though I much prefer Bass fishing over Trout.

More fishing than hunting. Bass primarily but love fishing in the flats off Tampa Bay the couple times I did it.

Not a hunter but would like to try it out. Pretty sure I can shoot to kill, but field dressing would gross me out. In college, went plinking with friends with my 22. Shot at cans, snakes etc. Still own the 22 and have a 9mm now.

ive hunted a couple times...bagged a 7 pointer a couple years back that fed my family for about a year...i thought it was stupid until a friend got me to go with him and i realized that it is actually alot of effort to sit still and ultra quiet while slowly freezing to death.

I hunt 'dem deer. And if I see a coyote I'll shoot it. Took a few pot shots at one the other day but missed. Almost ran one over with my car too. It started crossing the road and I hit the accelerator. Fucker made it across before I could hit it.

If you're hunting to eat it, I'm cool with that. If you're hunting just to show off a trophy, you have a small dick and low self-esteem.

No. You aren't killing nuisance animals to build up your ego. You're doing it for quality of life and sometimes necessity.

I have never hunted. I'd like to go out some time to try (I'm pretty handy with a rifle and a bow out on the range), but I don't know that I will ever get the opportunity.

x2

Sure, I'll eat em once someone else has killed them, but I could never do it myself. I feel bad when I step on an insect. Unless it's a cockroach.

Not a hunter. But I wish I was.

If anyone lived near me I wish you'd come over and shoot these 3 deer in my backyard. One is huge.
