File is up. The internet connectivity problem still exists. I'm in and out this week, so I can't really do any diagnosis, but...I'll get to the bottom of it before too long.

The Redlegs finally have a winning spring training so maybe that will translate to a decent regular season.

Using spring training as an indicator of regular season performance can be hazardous to your employment as a GM

I've had 20-win spring trainings (just recently in fact) that did not lead to a playoff berth.

I understand the thought process here...but considering our last two spring trainings we were a combined 13-35 and finished last in the MLB both regular seasons...you can surely understand our optimism in this given situation!!

I think the whole thought of doing well in spring being bad for the regular season was always more of a joke than anything else because of several seasons where a team did great in the spring and then tanked in the regular season. I don't know that you can really take much from the spring records, but everything taken in context, you can figure some things out about what might happen during the regular season from it however.

I think I've had one of the better spring records for the past 5 or 6 seasons and have done ok in the regular season. Its more just for fun that we like to say winning spring training is a bad omen of what is to come

In the early days, like, for the first decade of the league it was indeed like that. If you finished 1st in spring training, you would usually not finish first in the league. And for a while, that was the key since there were no playoffs from 1964 until the mid 1980s. It used to be a huge problem during Boston's streak of missing the playoffs that lasted some 48 years.

Luckily, it seems those days are long past us.
