I wonder if Takiji-mania is spreading through Japan right now. Nice to see a home-grown Japanese player come up through the system and win the Benny Myers award.

I wonder if Jose and Ramon Quintana are related. Both are from Cuba, but don't look much alike, so probably just a common Cuban last name!

The best players this season were for the most part on the worst teams for whatever reason. Since the Commissioner Award goes to the best player on a competing club, that made some difficult decisions for me this year. If I would just give it to the best player period, it probably would have gone to Thompson from Apex, and Toronto's super 25 year old pitcher Francisco Barrios. Barrios might be super scary if his team gave him more support.

With the fantastic pitching that Napa Valley always has, one might assume their ballpark was a pitching friendly park . In actuality since we started recording real-season Park factors in 2038, Napa Valley's park has been a slightly above-average hitter's park. This season their park was the 5th most offensive park in the league

Unfortunately for Napa's Woody Treadwell, he wins the award for being the league's unluckiest pitcher. Or perhaps all of his hitters just hated him and abandoned him every time he came to the mount. Treadwell had only 2.15 runs of support every time that he came out to pitch. Treadwell didn't have a superstar type season this year like he did in 2070, but to go 9-14 for a playoff team when he was a top 20 pitcher this season is tragic!
