Hey guys, the sim is going to run perhaps two hours late tonight.

Been promising the family that we'd do the Toy Story 3 at the drive-in (first time to the drive-in for two of my daughters), and the only free night this week to do it is tonight.

As much as I hate letting you all down, I can't stand my daughters puppydog eyes if I dissapoint them, so tonight is movie night!


I expect to be back some point around 10:30 - 11pm and will kick things off as soon as I am back.

The 2073 FOOL Classic is set!

The Halifax Winter Wolves will face the Toronto Marlboros!

The last time we had a Canadian FOOL Champion was all the way back in 2026, 47 years ago when Halifax was previously known as the Edmonton Edge! This year is the first time in FOOL history that we have two Canadian teams fighting for the title!

Halifax last made it to the Classic in 2062, but have not won the title since moving from Edmonton. With a win here however, the Winter Wolves could win a fourth FOOL title in Franchise history!

The only time that the city of Toronto ever experienced a FOOL title was 92 years ago when the current Tokyo Cyclones were known as the Toronto Osprey. The Marlboros could give the once die-hard Toronto fans a new taste of FOOL success. The Marlboro franchise last made the FOOL Classic twice in the 2060s back when they were known as the New York Heroes. As a franchise they could win their 7th FOOL title this year, but their last title was way back 43 years ago when the Juan Sierra led Heroes won it all against this same Halifax franchise (when they were in Edmonton)

These two franchises have faced off 4 times, having split the series with 2 titles each!

Also, you may want to release Chet Wood from the St. Petersburg contract he just signed. St. Pete is on AI right now, and the AI took advantage of that by signing Wood, who I just dropped for this very sim (so no one else had a chance at him).

I'm not planning on making a play for Wood (considering I could have had him back on a pretty good contract), but I wouldn't be surprised if some others in the league would have liked to get a shot at him.
