No, it's still on GameSpy, which keeps get overloaded with all of their online gaming crap, about this time of day too. I think it's not a server issue but a bandwidth (and the priorities for such) issue. My .01

Actually "crashing" has not been the issue. The powers-that-be at sportplanet would shut down the old board when it became a resource hog. BOTH boards were down, so I'm guessing that they shut it down again. We had LOTS of people online and LOTS of posts firing off fast and furiously, so maybe it was causing problems with the whole network again. I know it was moving realllly slllowwwwlly in the last few minutes before it went down.

To back up what Anry said, we didn't MOVE the board, we installed new software. The old software was just that--old, and a resource/bandwith hog apparently.

The dynamic server that you use (dynamic2.gamespy.com) was having some issues
due to another site that also uses dynamic2. You have to remember that you
share dynamic2 w/ 50+ other hosted sites. If another hosted that has an
account on dynamic2 has a script that screws up and brings dynamic2 to a crawl
your forums are going to be affected as well...

I know that but we "moved" to different software. I knew that was the problem with the old board, but I though it had more to do with the old software being inefficient. I guess it has more to do with us being really big and active.

You know, I just want to say that I really am grateful to them for continuing to host us. All they really get out of it is goodwill so I'm just letting them know that it hasn't gone unnoticed.

Now, sod off, I'm having a bad day.

No, it was the the old board software. This time it had nothing to do with us apparently. It was one of the other 50+ BB's hosted on the same server.
