I Gave My Dog A Rabies Shot Tonight

I didnt know this was possible until I talked with my brother-in-law. He lives in the country and told me to go to a feed store and you can pick up the rabies medication and a needle and do it yourself. So I checked it out. I spent $4.25 and did it myself. Saved myself about $70. The only downside is that there is no record. But in my town, dogs dont have to have rabies tags. If she ever bites someone (She wont, Im confident. Shes a sweety), they will quarantine her. But thats it. My wife was worried about no records because we get her shaved twice a year. Fortunately we have a friend who owns a pet store that does this type os service. We should be ok there.

I thought I would pass this info on to anyone that was interested.

Luckily that isnt an issue either. We have a next door neighbor who loves her and would take her if she could and another BIL takes her also. We are pretty set there.

I thought rabies shots were in the $10 range when I had my guys done. Plus they got papers.
