I thought this would never happen to me...

...but it did.

I guess I'll be staying at my desk all day today.

I've done that once - kids had no school, everyone was sleeping in and I was getting dressed in the dark, and grabbed one burgundy and one brown shoe. But at least they were roughly the same style, so it was not totally obvious.

Lol, I mistakenly packed only 1 dress shoe this week, so I've been rocking sneakers. Maybe 1 of each would be more appropriate ?

I work from home so I can wear any combination of shoes I want. Or none at all.

I only have one pair of "dress" shoes so I don't have this problem. The great thing is that Shawshank Redemption is right- no one looks at your shoes so I get away with wearing an all black version of the Nike Griffey remakes from the 90s. If your shoes are all black, no one notices that they have a swoosh on them and they're one of the most comfortable pairs I've ever owned.

That's awesome, I have done that a couple times with black/blue socks getting dressed in the dark, but never shoes thankfully

I'm in the RomaGoth club now though, working from home so I could do it

I saw an all-black pair of Sketchers that I thought I could get away with wearing at work, but when I went back to the store a week later to buy it, it was gone from their shelves. I never saw that shoe again.

I have two dress shoes: black and brown. My black ones have laces and the brown ones don't, so I never mix them up.

Not matching socks, yes. While my socks are always paired correctly, I get dressed in the dark and don't always pick the right pair ... brown socks with black shoes, etc.

I'm a student at a small midwestern college. There was a knock at my door. I opened it to find two horny sorority sisters.

I am a big fan of leaving a pair of dress shoes at work. I have never worn two different shoes but I have absolutely gone to work wearing my muddy sneakers, having forgotten to change them after walking the dog. A backup pair of black dress shoes at work solves the problem on most days.

I'll one up you - packed for a wedding one time, not only brought non-matching shoes, but they were each for the right foot. Tried to fake it, but it hurt like bojangles.

This.

My feet look like this everyday starting sometime around the beginning of November until sometime around the end of March.

One of the sisters had a brown shoe on her left foot and a black shoe on her right. The other girl had a black shoe on her left foot and a brown one on her right.

The first odd thing was that the two brown shoes were NOT part of a matched pair.

The second odd thing is that both girls were hot and horny, and yet I couldn't stop staring at their shoes.

1) I thought this would never happen to me.
2) ...
3) If it weren't for my horse, I wouldn't have spent that year in college.

If anybody asks about why they don't match just tell them you prefer to match by thickness, not color or style.
