My sincere condolences to the entire Bulldog Nation on the loss of an irreplaceable icon. Although I know he was much more to his fans, as a broadcaster, what he represented was something that I doubt we'll ever see the likes of again, an honest & enduring master of his craft.
Rest In Peace Larry, you earned it many times over.

I posted this several years ago. I think most GT fans have a soft spot for Larry.
And I suspect most have a favorite Munson call. Even if it is, "They're running all over us like we're Wake Forest or Maryland or somebody." from the 2000 game. |

Heh. I never really thought about it, but I would imagine that, given Munson's tendency toward being a doomsayer, he would be a pretty entertaining announcer to hear for the opposition when the opposition was really laying the wood to the Dawgs.

I actually have two old cassette tapes on the 80 Clemson - UGA game from opposing radio stations One with Jim Philips and the other with Larry Munson. "My GOD A FRESHMAN".... |

ROFL.
I'm not a big fan of Mark Bradley, but he NAILED this one. UGA versus LSU, as the mighty Munson might have called it | Mark Bradley
