Wildfire near my house

We had a dry lightning storm last night and one bolt started a wildfire on my road, only 4-5 miles away.

We could use some prayers and aren't even able to purchase home insurance because of the area we live in. I wouldn't even be here, but my father-in-law died last year and my wife's mom is in her 60's and her grandma is 83 and don't have the physical ability to keep up with the horses, farm, etc. Have to help family though.

Oh, here's the map: CAL FIRE - California Statewide Fire Map

We're the Fern Rd. fire in Shasta county.

Thanks. It's only a 20 acre fire, but it still freaks me out. I can usually see for miles up here in the foothills, but I can't see beyond 100 yards or so.

60 acres now and 10% contained. I can't see much further than 200 yards, but I think it'll be ok.

Take care and evac if you're told to. Fire isn't anything to fuck around with.

I realize that most won't remotely care, but the fire is gone now.

My first wildfire. Yay.
