how does ACC-Big East situation affect TCY2
Can Jim change conference alignments without requiring a major rewrite?

Might have some impact on the scheduling, but the bulk of the code is the the simulation engine and recruiting and that will not be affected.
This of course depends on when TCY2 is made. Todd

The thing that I would like to see is the ability to switch conferences during the game.

Well we've already got 2 situations coming up this Fall.. The University of South Florida and Utah State University will now longer be among the group of I-A Independents..
South Florida has joined Conference USA for Football (they already were CUSA members for all other sports), while Utah State will be joining the Sun Belt Conference for Football beginning this Fall, and will bring the rest of their athletic programs to the Conference from the Big West Conference, in a couple of years.. (Wondering if Jim G. already has this in mind and will have this updated before the '03 Season begins)..

NCAA Football 2004 is going to include this. It's for the consoles, but looks awesome. And the 2003 version is a tremendous game. Last edited by KWhit : 05-17-2003 at 04:00 PM. |

Yeah, I believe he even said that he was working on a new sport entirely, right?

That could be pretty fun. Maybe Jim and the Senator could co-produce it.

He should be able to. In the 2002 Season patch for TCY, conference alignments were adjusted (UCF to the MAC for example.) I wouldn't be surprised if he released another little patch for it before the season this fall and everything has shaken out. |

I think Jim's website indicates that his interests are in sports sims right now, per his website:
"My desire to break into new sports continues to grow, however. In early 2003, I began work on a new simulation. In this field new challenges always beckon. It's been a tremendously rewarding experience." I would probably like a political sim with the depth of FOF or TCY right now much more than a new sim in any of the other three major sports, but from this statement it appears that TCY2, FOF5, or any political sim are not in line to be his next project. |
