NBA's All What If? Team
What if? is the biggest question throughout sport history. What if he didn't get injured? or what if he played a bit longer? The Question always pops up in the heads of many. So here I am presenting to you the NBA's All what if team
Point Guard Jay Williams
All you Chicago Bull fans know who I'm talking about. Jay Williams was essentially Derick Rose before Derick Rose. The Point Guard out of Duke was Chicago's future after he was drafted 2nd Overall in the 2002 NBA draft. Jay was wowing fans everywhere and was looked at as one of the new up and coming threats at the point. In his One Sole NBA season he put up 9.5 points and 4.7 assists in just 26 minutes played per game. At this point it looked like the Bulls discovered there first superstar since Michael Jordan but those dreams were quickly crushed. On June 19th 2003 Jay Williams crashed his Motorcycle into a Streetlight severing one of the main nerves in his leg and tearing 3 ligaments, along with his left ACL. Despite trying to rehab the injury, Williams could ultimately never return to the form he once possessed and fizzled out of the NBA D League back in 2006.
Shooting Guard : David Thompson
There are many deserving candidates for this position. Most Notably Drazen Petrovic and Reggie Lewis but I gave Thompson the nod for this reason. It has been stated many times that David Thompson's name could have been mentioned in the discussion for one of the greatest players of all time if it wasn't for his drug addiction and that nasty fall he took ultimately ending his career. Coming in at 6'4 Thompson had an incredible vertical leap of 48 inches and could do everything offensively. He could score from nearly all of the area's on the court and at his peak was a consistent force for the Nuggets. Michael Jordan based much of his game on David Thompson. His problems off the court however ended up being his down fall.Tags: NoneYou must be logged in to post a comment.
