Backbreaker: What do you want to know?
I am getting the opportunity to talk with the game's producers. If you have any questions you would like answered please post them here. I will do my best to ask all of them.

Re: Backbreaker: What do you want to know?
How many different body types are there(Can I make a Jones Drew type RB or a Brandon Jacobs type RB)? A lot of them look very similar like there is only 2 or 3 different body types in the entire game and they all seem pretty tall.
I'm still confused about how customizable they are or If they will be at all.Originally posted by WatsonTigerOne out of 7 billion, and we still tagged your ***. -
Re: Backbreaker: What do you want to know?
I'm curious about the in game adjustments. Can you hot route? Can you play off one wr and bump another? Is there line shifting? Can you change defenders assignements to play man coverage or blitz or change his zone assignments?Comment

Re: Backbreaker: What do you want to know?
Topics/Questions to cover.
#1- Player Ratings System- What does it entail? How are players rated individually and are the player ratings position specific?
#2-Playbooks/Playcalling- How deep are the playbooks? How many playbooks are there? Are plays customizable? Are there audibles on offense and defense?
#3-Player Models- Are there different player builds for each player and is it position specific?
#4-Season Mode and Road To Backbreaker- How long are the seasons in each mode? How many games are played and how many teams can qualify for the playoffs.
#5-Roster Management- How does free agency work in Backbreaker? How does the draft work in season and road to backbreaker mode?
#6-Customization- Can player ratings and appearance be customized? Will there be saveable codes for each custom team creation?
#7-The Basics- Will there be season stats? Will there be penalties and play challenges? What are the basic game rules in Backbreaker? Is the overtime system similar to pro football or college etc
#8- Will there be a demo/demonstration of Backbreaker's many different modes and extensive customization tools?Comment

Re: Backbreaker: What do you want to know?
Can you totally edit any player on every 60 teams, or are there limits on the number of gold, silver and bronze players you can have on any team?
Explain the concept of the "form of the team". The GI preview mentioned an adjustable sliding scale that goes from very poor to very good.Comment

Re: Backbreaker: What do you want to know?
Will we be allowed to watch cpu vs cpu games in season/franchise mode?
How many years can we play in franchise mode?
Is there a player lock option on offense?__________

Re: Backbreaker: What do you want to know?
Will their be a progression system, are they only going to have gold, silver, bronze ratings for every attribute?
What's the offseason like, do you negotiate contracts, can you trade draft picks?
How long will the franchise mode last? How many draft classes are in the game?
I second the questions on height and body types. Those need to be put to rest. Are they position specific, scaling, or limited across the board?Comment

Re: Backbreaker: What do you want to know?
Are there rankings and stat tracking in the multiplayer game?
Also please tell me that if a player disconnects we get a win not like madden having to play the rest of game against the cpu etc.
Can we view replays of the plays after the game ala madden?Comment

Re: Backbreaker: What do you want to know?
I really hope that they have some type of commentary, if not, it would be a HUGE step back in video gaming evolution.
Without commentary the stats overlay and other things better be revolutionary...Comment

<o:smarttagtype namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" forums="" images="" smilies="" redface.gif="" border="0" alt="" title="Embarrassment" smilieid="2" class="inlineimg"></o:smarttagtype>I am leaving other people to handle the "features" questions. I am more interested in player specific football techniques for EACH and EVERY single position.
************************************************** *************<o>
</o>Bottom line (KEY): Football “Techniques” questions. Please ask about backbreaker football player “techniques” for different player position, especially the OL vs. DL, DB vs. WR, RB (running low to the ground techniques, better jukes, quick change of direction, open field acceleration, etc.) <o></o>
<o></o>
************************************************** *************<o></o>
Use the following to formulate enough questions on "individual player techniques" to ask the developers. Condense the questions if you must. Formulate your own questions if you must. But please have developers address football techniques.
- OL/DL:
- Why does the OL/DL interaction look so robotic?
- Why do the OL look herky/jerky when they’re blocking? (note: look at their footwork. It’s repetitive. There’s no purpose.) They seem to be sliding with ice skates.
- OL footwork: Why do the OL’s feet simply paddle back and forth in the same exact spot without much purpose? (Note: OL footwork. It looks like the OL is simply climbing an imaginary ladder.
- Has “motion/step shift” been eliminated? (motion/step shift defined in the following link)
- <object width="480" height="385">
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/sZ60XRtGlXU&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></object>
- DL:
- Will we see the DL pass rush speed increase? (Note: Gameplay footage shows DL pass rushing at the same speed even if they have an open lane directly to the QB. There seems to be no increase in acceleration.)
- Will we see DL FORCEFULLY PUSH the OL backwards?
- Will DE be able to run the arc (attempt to avoid contact with the OL) and sack the QB? (Note: DE seems to purposely engage the OL every time the DE rushes the outside.)
- Can the DE actually run the arc?
- Will DL try to put their hands/arm up at the line of scrimmage if the DL sees that it’s a pass play?
- RB:
- Will Running Backs run much, much LOWER to the ground or are they going to remain in the complete upright position as they’re running?
- Has the juke move changed?
- Will RB have quick steps, elusive quick change of direction agility?
- <object width="480" height="385">
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0TflnHlQMt8&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></object>
- DB:
- Will we actually see real WR/DB interactions like such:
- <object width="480" height="385">
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/_HD3AYThmqA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></object> - Will there be “bump & run” coverage?
- Why do Defensive backs seem to always sit back & wait for the wide receiver to make a catch before making the tackle?
- Why don't the defensive back jump the ball (or at least motion towards the ball or receiver when the ball is in the air)?
- Will DB be able to use ONE ARM to deflect the pass while shadowing the WR?
- Can DB actually feel out their receivers with one arm and keep watch on the QB simultaneously?

- WR:
- Will WR (CPU controlled vs. Player controlled) be able to make two or three moves at the line of scrimmage (or downfield) to beat out the DB? (note: it seems like WR simply run from point A to point B without using any techniques in any game play footage).
- Are one handed catches in the game?
- Will CPU WR be aware of the sidelines (2 feet in bounds, etc)?
- <object width="480" height="385">

- Defenders:
- Will defenders remain in the “crouch position” after the play.
- In Game Features:
- <st1>Arcade </st1>vs. Pro Mode: What are the differences besides indicator assist? Are there ANY differences in the Artificial Intelligence in the <st1>Arcade </st1>vs. Pro Mode?<o></o>
- Control Assist: Will we be able to completely remove on-screen control assist ( Press “A” to throw the ball away; Press “X” to switch hands, etc.) OFF?
- Replay System: Will the in game replay system (after each play) be one continuous footage OR will it stay the same with the "backbreaker logo" splitting the in-game replay sequences.
- Replay System: Will there be a traditional replay system where we can zoom in on ANY player on the field, and from ANY angle, that we want? (e.g. fast forward, rewind, slow-motion, zoom in on ANY player on the field, etc.)
- Sound/Audio: Can we specifically increase the stadium/crowd sound so that it completely drowns out the on-the-field noises? (Note: since there will be no color commentary, the ability to turn up the stadium/crowd noise will help with the in-game immersion.)
- Acceleration: There seems to be no open field running acceleration at all. Will there be break-away running speed? (Note: watch in game footage, and player's legs don't seem to be pumping hard as they should be.
- (Heel-to-Buttocks) Your heels is suppose to almost hit the back of your buttocks if you're running at top speed. Current backbreaker footage shows no runner having top speed running techniques).
- Frames per second (fps): Why are tackles getting 90 fps and other gameplay moments getting less (e.g. 30 to 60 fps). Would they be able to increase the fps for other in game moments? It will continue to look robotic if they don't increase the fps for other areas beside tackles.
- ADDED EDIT:
- Play Calls: Can we send a wide receiver, tight end, running back, in MOTION? (Note: There has been no sequences in any gameplay footage where receivers go in motion.
- Defenders: Made corrections to the link; wrong link initially. Correct link in place now.
