    Upcomming Fights to Watch!

Below I've copy and pasted a post by JAyBee. I think we should have a sticky like this. Some guys are on top of all the boxing news, but it's hard to keep track. So if we could have a thread like this which is updated (not by me since I'm out of the loop right now) so it's easy to see and plan for what fights we want to see/watch and keep them in mind.

here is his post I deleted ones that already passed by:

Sept 12 (Showtime)- Kessler defends his WBA SuperMiddleweight title against Gusmyl Perdomo-this is pre-Super Six tourney. On the same Showtime card but in a different locale Andre Ward tunes up for the Super Six against Shelby Pudwill.**kessler wins via ko

Saturday, September 19th-Mayweather VS Marquez (HBO PPV) **** Mayweather wins 12 rd shutout.

Saturday, September 26th-Vitali Klitschko VS Chris Arreola (HBO)
    +replay of mayweather v. marquez
    ***Nipples got smashed

Saturday, October *17th-Arthur Abraham VS Jermain Taylor (Showtime) in Berlin, Germany. Carl Froch VS Andre Dirrell in the UK.

Saturday, November 7-Chad Dawson VS Glenn Johnson (HBO)

Saturday, November 14-Manny Pacquiao VS Cotto (HBO PPV)

Saturday, December 12-Kelly Pavlik VS Paul Williams

Saturday, December 26 - Joshua Clottey vs Sugar Shane Mosley
****may not happen! should I delete?

damn wedding to attend during Kessler's fight AND there is a UFC event that night too AND it may hinder my NFL fulfillment on sunday somewhat
I hope someone on the internet helps me out

Great thread idea. We should keep this updated because there are some guys not on my radar that I might miss otherwise. There's a ton of quality fights coming up in the next couple of months. The end of 2009 is gonna be a good one.

is it a done deal for sure? I really like watching Mosley.

anyone know who moderates the boxing forum?

Vitali Klitschko vs Chris Arreola is on HBO. They will also show the Mayweather vs Marquez replay that night.

I'm interested in the Arreola fight.

Doesn't look like too much competition for Kessler (Perdomo) and Ward (Pudwell).

              Perdomo-won 16 (KO 10) + lost 2 (KO 0)
              Pudwell-won 22 (KO 9) + lost 3 (KO 2)

Perdomo is ranked 33rd in the world, Pudwell 215th.

Good idea, we probably need a similar one for New TV shows and New Seasons in Entertainment & Technology.

                  Re: Upcomming Fights to Watch!

The Kessler and Ward fights are tuneups that both fighters scheduled prior to the Super Middleweight tournament. Chances are these will be easy fights showcasing their skills and building hype for the tourney.

The Arreola fight has the potential to be an all action heavyweight fight, if Arreola moves his head. If he just stand in front of Klitschko then he will prob get jabbed to death a la Sam Peter. Either way, I think it will be (70% chance) an exciting fight. On the plus side, at least you get to see the Mayweather-Marquez replay.

Lastly, I will do my best to continue to add upcoming fights if time permits. I keep up with boxing, I just have to remember to post upcoming fights.

The Kessler fight is about to begin-I didn't realize Nick Charles had Stage 4 bladder cancer.

Yeah he has been out for at least a month or two. He is in excellent spirits according to everything I read but Stage 4 cancer of any type is horrible and almost impossible to beat because it means that the cancer has spread outside of the organ.

I'm sure you were pleased. Am I missing something-no thread on Mayweather-Marquez?

I believe the Clottey - Mosley fight is off.

Mosley cannot get a break... I feel bad for the guy, but it's not helping his case when he is being publicly desperate.

so mosley and pavlik's fights are both 100% cancelled?
