2006 title game, 2007 Final Four, 2008 Final Four.

Want to know what came out of those? Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Nil. Cero. Zero. 0.

Granted they played against the best trio in college basketball this decade, back-to-back national champions, and against 38-2 Memphis with Rose/CDR, but UCLA wasn't even competitive in any of those games.

They went 8-20 that year...

I am a USC and Arizona fan. Pretty much every year.

In particular 1993 when Arizona lost to 15 seed Santa Clara. Made worse by the fact I was on the Santa Clara campus when it happened. (Girlfriend went to SCU)

For USC, it would be 1992 when Harold Miner left school early to enter the NBA draft.

What?

Hurley had his best scoring game ever that game ( I am going off of memory, and I have watched the game several times since.) He scored like 35 points. Kidd had around 22. Both had double digits assists. Kidds' team won, but by no means did he dominate Hurley. Looking at the boxscores, even JDough couldn't write that.
I never would have said it. That was the first game I respected Bobby Hurley. He refused to let dook die in that game. Best performance in his career. And I told that to every dook fan I knew @ the time. Back then I was a very unreasonable dook *****. Can't blame me too much, since they had won twice in a row.

The Curley game was '94. I've hated BC ever since. Buttholes took out Derrick Phelps & that sent UNC spiraling. Most talented team in UNC's history broke Dean's Sweet 16 streak.

I really can't think of 2001-02 as a low point for myself. Even then, I thought it was just the inevitable. Carolina was due & you could see the program declining. The team making the Final 4 in '00 was really a fluke. The team became very inconsistent @ the end of 2001. Gut made some horrible recruiting decisions to thin the talent pool. The team had never won less than 20 my entire lifetime. All of the streaks had to come to an end sometime. So I wasn't too down about that.

It would probably be the following season for me. Carolina just wasn't "Carolina". The mutiny that was going on. Dissension. Threats of transfers. No clear heir apparent waiting in the wings. Very tenuous situation for the Heels. It looked like it could be the end of an era.

54 seconds. I definitely broke my DVD remote that night, smashed it into about 100 pieces.

Luckily I was only 7 or so when Len Bias died, so I didn't completely grasp the situation, or that would be number 1 by a wide margin.
