2015 Recruiting Thread

For some reason I thought there was already a thread for this...lol.

Michigan just started giving out 2015 offers a couple weeks ago, and has three out total right now: OH shooting guard Luke Kennard, IN combo guard Jalen Coleman, and IL point guard Jalen Brunson. All three are big-timers, and Michigan's in decent shape right now for all of them.

There are technically only two spots open for 2015 for U-M right now, but there is a 0% chance McGary or Robinson will still be around then, so the functional number right now is four (depending on how the 2014 class unfolds).

Kentucky has 4 offers out right now, to guards Malik Newman and Charles Matthews, one to power forward Skal Labissiere, and the last one is to center Stephen Zimmerman.
From what I have read, it seems that Memphis and UK are early favorites for Labissiere.
Considering the usual turnover on Kentucky's roster it will be hard to predict who will be there next year, let alone come 2014-2015. That being said, I think Dominique Hawkins and Derek Willis are locks to be on the team then, unless something happens and they transfer. I think Marcus Lee could be as well if he takes a while to develop.

I think Zimmerman, Dwayne Bacon, Elijah Thomas, and Sedrick Barefield have Michigan offers waiting for them when they visit. Pretty sure Bacon and Barefield are planning to visit before the start of their high school seasons. Zimmerman's and his mom have expressed interest but weren't sure when it would happen.

Corey Sanders might also get an offer if he visits but I hope not. He's not a real PG.

Thad is killing it. Still think Harris might have been a bit of a reach but with the talent be assembled around him he'll never have to be a star.

Mitchell is solid. He played on the same team as Julius Randle did last year, that must have been one hell of a team.

Groce is amazing, I know this year is going to be rocky due to all the new players but we need to extend him sooner than later, he's proven himself as a coach and in a short time is proving himself to be a top notch recruiter.

It's funny. I read a book a while back and a player committing did the exact same hat thing that Alexander did.

Oh yeah Cliff wasn't the first and won't be the last, others have gone even further.

I remember when Kevin Jones committed to Virginia Tech, he was picking between Penn State and Virginia Tech, at his presser he pulled out a PSU jersey making it look like that was his pick only to announce I will... not be attending Penn State, then he pulled off his sweatshirt to reveal he was wearing a Michael Vick VaTech jersey.

Yup, and being from Peoria which is known for being a major pipeline to Illinois not only did he wear a Brian Cook jersey to school the day before announcing, he said he hoped to start a pipeline from Peoria to Duke when he announced.
