Marquette knocked off Providence in overtime 95-90 tonight. Markus Howard had 52 points, 17-29 FG, 11-19 3PT. He Ties the Big East single-game scoring record set by Providence's Marshon Brooks in 2011. He only had 10 points at the half.

He timed the layup perfectly...would have sucked if he didn't get it off in time or if he thought he had to pull up and missed a jumper. Tennessee looked really good last night. That is a good ball club.
I'm starting to have concerns about Diallo. I know he's been sick and was in foul trouble last night but I was expecting more from someone who almost turned pro this past summer. His jumper, which was a perceived weakness, has actually looked decent but he often plays out of control and seems to have trouble finishing at the rim.
