    20 min Coach Mode Sliders

First off, this is for coach mode only. I haven't used these sliders for power conference teams but they should work the same. Any feedback is totally welcomed.

For coaching settings, I strongly recommend that you don't just put 100 for everything. I suggest checking this thread out for coach settings (tempo and defensive pressure): http://www.operationsports.com/forum...endencies.html. If you want to play an up-tempo game, I'd say if you put the off tempo around 40, you will be able to see a faster pace (65-70 shot attempts).

Like I said earlier, any feedback is welcomed. Box scores, comments, etc. would be awesome. Any advice you would like to give, any tinkering you did that made it better, I would love to hear it as well.

*For coach mode, only the CPU Settings are affected for sliders.*

*Some of the sliders are for my personal reference. If there is a slider that you don't agree with like the clutch factor, by all means change it.

    Gameplay:

    MOP
    20 min halves
Sim half length: 18 mins (my preference for stats around the NCAA)

    Game Speed: 60
    Player Speed: 47
    Free Throw Difficulty: 55
    Real Player FT%: On
Clutch: On (Since I have no control over the player, clutch is more realistic.. Once again my preference)

    Rules:

    Charging Foul: 95
    Blocking Foul: 100
    Reaching Foul: 62
    Shooting Foul: 58
    Loose Ball Foul: 100

    Shooting:

    Inside: 46
    Mid-Range: 48 (changed 8/22/13)
    3 Point: 48
    Dunk Success: 50
    Layup Success: 48
Close Shot Tendency: 43 (changed 8/22/13)
    Mid-Range Tendency: 45 (changed 8/22/13)
    3 Point Shot Tendency: 45 (changed 8/22/13)
    Drive Tendency: 60 (changed 8/22/13)

    Attributes:

    Offensive Awareness: 15
    Defensive Awareness: 100
    Dunk: 100
    Ball Handling: 35
Offensive and Defensive Rebounding: 100 (I might tinker with this sometime though)
    Block: 100
    Steal: 100
    Speed: 47

    Gameplay:

    Team Unity Effects: 100
    Dunks in Traffic: 100
    Screen Success: 60
    Screen Strength: 10 (changed 8/22/13)
    Steal Success: 100
    Help Defense: 100
    Help Recovery: 75 (changed 8/22/13)

    Fitness:

Energy Fatigue Rate: 58 (changed 8/22/13)
Energy Recover Rate: 44 (changed 8/22/13)
    Injury Frenquency: 70 (changed 8/22/13)
    Injury Effects: 85 (changed 8/22/13)

Also I recommend that you turn off the commentary since a coach can't hear the commentators

PS3/360. I play with a 360 but I imagine the same goes for the ps3. I assume you can't use it with your ps2 though

I do have a question. Are these for MOP? I've always assumed that they were, but I want to make sure.

I think you'll probably have to tone down the 3 tendency ALOT. 3 tendency usually needs to be somewhere around half the other tendencies.

Teams usually end up shooting around 15-25 3 pointers per game depending on their style, which is what you will see in real life. I've even had games where both teams had less than 15 3 pointers in a game.

But by all means change it if you find that they shoot too many 3s for you.

The first 2 games I played both teams shot over 35 threes. But, I am using custom playbooks with only good plays, so that may be the cause.

I would like to commend you on this set; the sliders play very well. I lowered the 3 tendency to 25 and have been having alot of fun with these. Steals are high, but that's the only way to get alot of turnovers. I'd rather have more turnovers, so I like that aspect.

                    Nice job.

Glad you like them. I run with custom plays as well but the team that I use doesn't have a lot of shooting so my plays aren't designed to get a lot of perimeter looks so it may have distorted the 3pt tendency a bit.

Just out of curiosity, do you play with power teams or small school teams?

I am in year 2020 of a dynasty and am now at Indiana.

I make a different playbook for each season and I randomize from a certain selection of plays. Last season, I switched to your sliders towards the end of the year, and had to drop the tendency. But this season, after playing 5-6 games today, I moved it back up to your default settings. I think I just had a combination of players and a playbook that led to a few weird games in a row. And previously I had been using Jukeman's sliders and hadn't seen any games like that; even with the same playbook.

I'm not sure what caused it. Maybe it was alot of 2-3 zone, but I don't remember for sure.

Anyway, I'm back to your settings and it's working very well.

Yea for some reason teams shoot a ton of threes against the 2-3 zone. I'll probably have two different tendencies, one for man and one for zone.

I've been playing CPU vs CPU recently because in coach mode there seems to be some advantage for the user. I've made a few adjustments to your set for my own preferences. I also include my reasoning.

I lowered fatigue rate to 55. The 11-12 players in rotation were averaging 10-15 minutes per game. Just want to find that sweet spot where players get tired and it affects their performance, but not so tired the backups backups play a half a game.

mid range success down to 48. Just a little too easy to hit midrange shots. I saw some scores creeping Into the 90s and fg% above 55%. This improves it slightly without boasting against post players.

Clutch OFF: my preference. I didn't used to have it off, but this stops the end of game "point explosion" where the losing team will hit 4 3's in the last minute while the winning team makes 10 free throws.

Team unity effects down to 35. I will probably bring this back up a little. But in my opinion the effects of team unity are way overrated in this game. I want 6th man to be more important so tuning this to find the sweet spot.

Just tought I'd share my slight adjustments.

I'll definitely try these out when I get the chance (don't have the game right now, switched from 360 to ps3 and have yet to find the game anywhere).

Just wondering, how high do you put your coaching sliders (off tempo, def pressure, fastbreak, and crash boards)?

I also noticed the user advantage and I found that to remove it, you have to put the coaching sliders down really low. For my team I think the highest was at 25. If you put those sliders high, you will dominate and get high scoring games. I think I mentioned this in the first post but I don't remember for sure.
