Whenever the computer tells me somebody is unhappy. Then I'll go to the pep talk screen and give everybody who is low a pep talk.

I wish I could have a more in-depth conversation with my players when they're bummed out, like when my sophomore PG is cranky because he's getting reduced minutes behind my senior PG, I'll tell him he's the man next year so he doesn't need to worry.

Same with recruiting, the phone calls are just mindless and tedious menu clicking. NCAA Football 08's recruiting was better in that aspect.

I mainly use it when I have a starter get hurt and I have to put in his replacement.

I boost my already confident players into the 90's, let them scrubs complain; that wont get you on the court, but it will get you cut in the offseason. Bunch of babies

I usually pep talk all 5 starters at the beginning of the season plus any freshmen....as long as they can play....they'll get playing time which usually results in 10-11 players with confidence in the 90s by the time conference play rolls around.

depends on the makeup of the team on how i use em. if i had a competitive squad, ill save em for big games, and postseason. if i have a losing squad, ill use em for the younger players throughout the season to keep their spirits up.

I usually forget about them and wind up using them at the end of the season before conference tournaments or somewhere around there.

I keep everyone above 20 percent (when they get unhappy), and use them on my players when we have a skid, or if I enter the NCAA's and have extras, I will use them all to get everyone in the 90's.

I notice that their confidence is tied more to the points they scored rather than amt of time they are in the court
a guy who is in the court for 20 mins but only scored 2 pts would end up with less confidence compared to someone who was only in the court for 8 mins but have 10 pts


And the magic number is 10 pts. They gain confidence if they had 10 pts or more

Ill usually give one to my bench players if they get into the 30-40s. And starters at tournament time.
also; I have gotten a Coaching point for not having any un-happy players with guys in the 30s (360).

Damn...I should have used this before my ACC torney....went in as the #1 seed and got bounced ASAP
