MICROSOFT
Sunday June 11th, 2017
5:00pm EST / 2:00pm PST

Officially announced games -
  • This isn't a game, but the Xbox Scorpio will be formally unveiled at E3.
  • State of Decay 2
Presumed games -
  • Sea of Thieves
  • Crackdown 3
Maybe, maybe not games -
  • Below: Long in development, still not out, but in theory out soon-ish.
  • Cuphead: See Below.
  • Pit People: Is in early access.
Teased/rumored games -
  • Forza 7 has been all but announced
  • Ori and the Will of the Wisps was trademarked
  • The Ashen developers mentioned that their game would be shown again soon.
  • There's something "small" related to Halo that is not Halo 6 and not Halo 3 Anniversary
Additional notes -
  • Microsoft has a marketing partnership with Middle-Earth: Shadow of War. It is always plausible that marketing partnership games show up on stage.
  • Studio Gobo signed their partnership with Microsoft a short while ago. It's probably too early for their game unless they had been working on it for a long time, and only just recently announced the partnership.
  • It seems too early for Gears of War 5, and Halo 6 is already confirmed as not showing.

Here's my top hopefuls.

- Will Scorpio be $500 or less

- What VR games Microsoft has in development.

- Which of the VR headsets will be partnered with Microsoft

- A viable MLB game to compete with The Show.

- Any new surprises that seems to come out from nowhere.

Re: E3 2017 - Microsoft Discussion Thread

Here's a list of things that would make my life complete but won't happen:

Ubisoft Access
- cross-buy with Uplay

EA Access
- cross-buy with Origin

VR on Scorpio
- Star Trek Bridge Crew coming
- VR/AR helmets work with all current VR games
- SteamVR support (HMD and on console)
- limited support for VR on Xbox One

And finally...
- cross-buy with Steam (lol)

Wow, and just like that, no xbox VR slated for E3! Very disappointed. Apparently, they're looking to next year. MS needs to offer much more than what's outlined on the first post to get my attention.

Don’t expect Xbox VR to be at E3 this year, or in stores this holiday

I'm ok with that. Some cool new wireless products coming to the Vive, the medium is really still in its infancy.

Microsoft has fallen out of favor with me after the XB1 and its lineup of software. I don't know what they could show to being me back. As it stands now PS4 and Switch is all I need for the foreseeable future.

Mostly the same for me but Forza 7 on Scorpio will almost certainly bring me back, LOL

As much as I love me some Forza Horizon and Gears of War, it's not enough for me to invest in Microsoft going forward, unless their first party software shifts drastically in a positive direction. With less and less time to game nowadays, they unfortunately became the odd man out.
