Next Gen Sliders - CPU cross, long shots and better defending

    Hey everyone!

    *** SLIDERS UPDATED 2/03/2021

9 min halves, world class, normal speed

All sliders are the same for both cpu and user

Controls everything on semi auto, manual defending and manual jockey.

    Sprint speed 20
I'm not usually a fan of the slower sprint speeds but together with the other settings it seems to work.
    Acceleration 46
Bumping the accel down helps with the animations and also makes it possible to take touches to make pockets of space.
    Shot error 71
Seems to be the sweet spot combined with goalie setting and shot speed for realistic goals and missed shots.
    Pass error 61
Still tweaking this one but is working for seperating the great passers from the average
    Shot speed 50
Was higher but made scoring too easy
    Pass speed 32
No completely sure on this one, still testing but fine for now
    Inj frequency 75
    Inj severity 20
Mainly 5 day knocks with a few bigger injuries sometimes
    GK ability 42
From Matts sliders. Good keepers still make great saves.
    Marking 60
Have reduced this due to new line settings. Helps defense keep its shape.
    Run Freq 15
Helps the CPU with creativity. still working on this one
    Line height 0
That's right 0. Stops the CB's marking halfway up the pitch when you're making a run down the wing. Defense will now change properly based on team tactics (team tactics line height of 5 on balanced will have cb's just outside the top of the box.) Defenders will now also come back closer to the GK when attackers have the ball down the side of the box.
    Line length 0
This settings has been the most challenging. Any setting between 1-49 seems to force the CB's to keep height based on how close the mids are. This seems to fix this
    Line width 40
I have been watching a ton of PL and this setting seems to match what I see without causing mids and cb's to "crossover"
    Full back positioning 35
Same as above for width. fb's normally sit a bit more forward when passing around the backline.
    First touch 95
Game just feels more organic with a higher first touch

Even though I've only tested on next gen I don't see how they wouldn't work for current gen.

I really hope you enjoy these as much as I am

I’m on next gen too, I’ll give these a try. How many games have you played with these settings?

I'm about halfway through January in my career mode with Everton. So around about 30 games including cups.

My last 10 games have been..
0-1 loss to Liverpool first leg of carabao cup semi
3-1 win over Derby in FA Cup
      2-0 win over Sheffield
      1-4 loss to Spurs
      2-0 win over Crystal Palace
      1-0 win over Spurs
2-1 Fa cup win over Crystal Palace
2-1 win over Sheffield - this game was crazy. Struggled to create chances and went down 1-0. Scored a headed corner with 5 mins left. And then scored a free kick (my first with this set) with James with the last kick of the game!
      1-0 over Leicester
      2-0 over Man U

I am very interested in these. My question is would these work with 10 or 15 minutes. Excited to try these soon.

Not sure I haven't tested it out. Should be fine though. I would be very interested to hear how it goes

Not sure if it’s the sliders but all my players are exhausted by the 50th minute and I surely not abuse the sprint button. Anyone else experience this?

What defence settings do you use?
For reference I play as Everton on balanced defence and use team press very sparingly.
Mainly only my wingers, James cos his stamina is trash and my centre mids get tired by about the 75-80 min mark, unless they are playing their 2nd game for the week

I set the custom tactics by pedrito79 in his post in this same subforum. Only for balanced mentality, for the rest I’m using the defaul tactics.

I also use offensive and defensive mentalities according to the team I’m playing against and the result. Nothing that I’d say is affecting aggressively.

I like this set on PS4, World Class, 10 minute halves.
I only reduced sprint speed to 30, because at 35, it looked a little bit unrealistic and it looked a little out of balance with the pass speed.
The other thing I changed was the injury settings. With a weaker team from a weaker legue, I cannot afford to lose a key player to a 3 months injury in every game 3 games in a row, which happens, when I have the injury sliders set that high.

Good to hear it works on PS4 and at 10min halves.
Will have to bump mine back up.

For me 35 sprint speed was the lowest I could go before it felt too slow. But I'm glad 30 is working for you.

What did you change your injury settings to? I've had 2 big knee injuries to key players this season so will drop mine a bit also.

Hello Fifa 21ers looking for some realism. I have success using this combination of stuff in order to create a new nice dynamic.

Works great with top level leagues, I use CPU vs CPU to get the most accurate simulations possible without me influencing the game.

CPU vs CPU (or Player vs CPU)

Difficulty: World Class (VERY IMPORTANT for realism and more unscripted plays)
                              Game Speed: Normal

                              Team sheets

                              Tactics for both teams

                              Balanced defence,
                              Long ball offense,
                              narrow or normal width
Low defensive height (around 3 bars)

                              Instructions for both teams:

Every players set to "aggressive interceptions", except for 2 or 3 forwards (good to improve world class's lack of defense)

                              Sliders (for both)

                              Sprint Speed - 30
                              Acceleration - 42
                              Shot Error - 72
                              Pass Error - 63
                              Shot Speed - 50
Pass Speed - 19 (yes 19, good to get offense more random and creative)
                              Injury Frequency - 67
                              Injury Severity - 85
GK Ability - 43 (might be lowered)
Marking - 90 (good to improve world class's lack of defense)
                              Run Frequency - 80
                              Height- 50
                              Length- 27
                              Width- 41
                              FB Positioning - 70
                              FT Control - 67

I play on PC, 15 minutes halves, broadcast or pro camera
