I think while a step in the right direction this set while challenging at first can become a bit easy once you work out how the CPU attacks.

Yes I have tried the new set from Matt. There are some things I like but some I don't.
It has helped me stumble upon some new changes which are a mix of mine and Matt's which I am finding amazing atm.
I will post the update in the first post very soon!

Hello Stimhack, I will test the new set from you today, but one question can I use this set for a professional setting? or is only world classic possible?

I have only tested on world class so far.
Not sure if they'd work on pro

ok i will try to test it, i hope it works because i only play on the professional setting do you always think it could work?

or could you possibly test whether the set also works for professional users you know better about it I'm still at work and can only test if this evening unfortunately ..

Hello Stimhack I was unfortunately not able to test the set yesterday on a professional setting, have you perhaps tested it once whether it would work ?

just got FIFA 21 (75% off) and just playing around with sliders.

Could you give some insight about your Height/length findings.

Im thinking this may be the way to help the midfielders (I understand marking/tracking is broken), already found that 45 height with 42 length works quite well, shape wise.

Length under 42 i start to see the defence falling to pieces as players take up odd positions, and run into each other etc.. early OS testing was around 40-45 (Demo i think).

but then 0-5 settings became the thing.. im not so sure?

Im about to test raising marking toward the 65 suggested in OS sliders, im at 55 now - its looking playable.

                    Yeah for sure.

0 line length seems to help a variety of issues. But not just 0 length on its own.
For me 0 length seems to fix the issue of mids tracking back. For example I use Everton and Allan is always looking at anyone who runs through the midfield and checks to see if there is defensive coverage. If not enough coverage on a 0 setting he will mark the run. Any other setting is hit or miss.

This then tied into my line height of 0 which I came about due to CBs marking high up the field even if you were past them with a run down the wing.
This also seems to have the CPU form up better in whatever team tactics they have set.
Again this changes depending on how high your marking setting is.

Re: Next Gen Sliders - CPU cross, long shots and better defending

yeah thats what im seeing too.

Ive settled at 25 Height and 25 length, found the attack suffered too much when length is very low.

Im seeing good CPU v CPU games 15-20 shots - moving on to editing tactics now. no press and no Possession for a start. Also noted that some tactics drain stamina very quickly like 41212.

Thank you for the quick reply - ill keep watching for your updates.

                        Hello Stimhack !

Do you play with tactical defending or legacy?

Like these sliders a lot but struggling with the difference between World Class being a bit too easy and Legendary being a bit too hard. Anybody have any tips for making the jump?

Re: Next Gen Sliders - CPU cross, long shots and better defending

                                Jay;

Remember that WC is 75% Cpu Att/Def.
                                Legendary is 95%.

You could try Matt10s old quick advise for WC to add +1-2 to Spd and Acc. On this version I found its not so impactful.

I add +10 to CPU runs, -5 to my Marking and lower CPU First touch, which makes it harder for me to take ball off them.(I play in position).

One thing i do is adjust all teams tactics before starting career, No pressing (stam drop) no possession attack (too slow). It takes some time but fixing formations/tactics improves gameplay greatly.

And i noticed Diamond formations (no wings) kill teams Stam fast (41212 etc..), you can fix this quickly by pushing the CML/R much wider.

                                Hope this helps.
