I messed around with the DB Editor a bit and couldn't quite figure it out, but do you know if it's possible to edit the "college cage" cage color? I tried the in game player editor too, but it stays the same color as the helmet.

Also, since you seem to know the DB inside and out, is there an option to turn on a jaw protector for players? I'm almost positive they're in the game (or older versions of the game), but I couldn't find anything of the sort.

I dont think you can edit the Cage Color.... I think it just goes with the Teams Helmet Color (so Redwings would have a Red Cage and Helmet)

there is not a option that I see for Jaw Protectors, I would figure you need to be "Injured" to be eligible to wear one of them
(no Injury option in DB Editor either)


however I DID get the Winter Classic Rinks into my Be A NHLer.... Tor/Philly/Pit/Wsh all have the Winter Rink
but it doesnt snow, but does still do cold weather effects (see breath)

I really wish we could find a way to at least view what is in the installed game files. When you install the game onto your xbox hard drive it installs 40 data files. If we could at least view whats on them we could see what else is hidden in the data.....

If we could open the data files and edit them...... well then it would be party time....
