i will say i was wrong when it comes to the CAF/career system, it looks much better than before, i thought u could not customize your own moves and perks but from this trailer it seems that you can(works for ranked too right?)

If it works how it was described this is a big improvement and my complaints were premature/wrong.

Im not sure what percentage of player base is asking for iron man pants in an MMA game, but there cant be that many, i hope there are plenty of actual MMA gear to put on instead of the goofy stuff that i have yet to see anyone ask for.

They have event creator I saw… not sure what that is or why they didn’t discuss it. Career mode looks no different except you can sim training? Is that the big change they are hyping? Lol.

Nothing new for offline players I guess except kumite and back yard rules (neither of which I use for my universe). Simulation mode sounds nice but they barely touched on it.

Also can someone correct me if I’m wrong. Didn’t they have the ufc event picks in another version of the game? I thought we could pick the winners and method and play the fights before

The game still lacks modes, and those exaggerated clothing, pants, and costumes are still present in the game. This video continues to push UFC 5 down to the bottom. Fighters still stick to the cage when knocked down near it, and the automatic transition to full mount remains unchanged.

I think alter egos have have the chance to be some of the best / worst additions. If we can get like a prime Rashad / Shogun / Machida alter ego it'd be cool as hell, but then again stuff like Rugby Volk is just a miss.

Not feeling that at all. And of course there is a battlepass. So we've got microtransactions, a "Watch this ad for coins" on the main screen, and a battlepass. For a 70$ game.

Was that really a deep dive, felt like career mode was rushed through, just said training can be simulated now, no other changes? No new modes? Modes actually taken away. Nothing was explained in detail other then the mode we saw in ea ufc 2 where you can predict fights and play it out.

Ok it was ufc 2 you could do that! I thought I remembered it was in a version before. This is classic Ea… bring back old features and market them as “new”. Sad shame this was the deep dive

Oh I'm sure they got plenty of "data" proving that is was a great idea, even though no one has ever seen this data (bc it doesn't exist). MMA fans aren't clowns doing chicken dances and wearing pants with moving particles.


As for this trailer: it has done well to lower my excitement for the game even more. The game series follows the trend of EA deleting content and game modes. They even have the gall to announce the restriction of rules in "just fight" as a frickin' novelty! Who the hell thought that was a good idea? Restrictions rarely are! You want to play "normal" mode with 1x10 2x5 rules? Nope. But hey: we brought back bets, except you cannot play them for rewards, and this was the fun part about the UT mode.



This dev dude even goes on saying "My favorite thing is the character selection screen", even though that has been toned down from EAUFC2 as you can no longer select champ pants. He's probably referencing the graphics, but it just illustrates how deliusional they are over there. If that's his favorite thing...? Yeah, a bit scary.


However, still going to give it a chance and get EA PLAY to try it for 10 hours. Worst case my suspicions are confirmed and I saved 60$. The thing is that it DOES look better than EAUFC4, but as I switched back to EAUFC3 a while ago, I don't know if it'll beat that. We'll see.

I accept the fact that gameplay is not much different from ufc4. Because they have a small budget. But it's a real shame that the game mode has been the same for years. and they trying to take our money with the same game. shame on you EA!

Noticeably light on career mode details. I'm guessing it's another copy-and-paste job, just with the option to speed through it even faster by skipping training camps.

I do wonder what happens if you pick a female fighter and challenge Valentina for the title, since she's featured in a voiced role for the career mode. Did they record unique dialogue for if/when this situation arises? I bet they didn't.

The event mode does appear on the modes screen, as an event creator, what does not appear is the tournament mode, this terrifies me, since it is where I create my standing fight tournaments, since in the event mode it does not It allows me to create a standing fight card, with it and waiting for the fight to continue standing 🙏 It would only let me do it in a fight now 😭

I hope to God that it hasn't occurred to them to remove the offline tournament mode, if we were already short on game modes, this would already be a very negative blow

Yeah the tournament mode thing has to be a mistake. I can see no legitimate reason to remove an offline tournament mode
