Selectable fighters in EA UFC franchise

UFC 1 - 121 (post DLC)
UFC 2 - 325 (post DLC)
UFC 3 - 268 (launch day)

A Basic Division breakdown comparison for UFC 2 to 3 is we're looking at roughly 10-15 less fighters in each division from HW down to MW. WW & LW are almost equal in totals. The drop off becomes steep again at FW down to FLW at about 10 less per division. Women's divisions are close to parity with BW slightly less, and SW equal.

Bottom line, the top and bottom of the men's divisions are lean. WW, LW and the women's division roster is on par with UFC 2.

Didn't look too far into that, but just did a hasty once over and I'm seeing 21 who were in 2 but not listed for 3 in just the FLW, BW(m) and FTW divisions.

Does that 268 number include duplicate fighters in multiple divisions?

I’m trying to figure out exactly how many fighters there are in the game who are currently fighting in the UFC. My count is at around 210 but I’m not sure if I’m making an error In counting. I’m not counting people in multiple divisions (example: Conor McGregor counts as one although he is in 3 divisions) , Bruce lee and guys like chuck Liddell who although fun is not currently a UfC fighter.

That’s what I was seeing too. I kept my UFC 2 roster and adjusted for 3 and I felt like I was deleting more then adding. I’m very happy about some of the new fighters added and I understand why some had to be cut, I’m just trying to figure out what the number is overall for gain vs loss

The number I posted includes duplicates. The bottom line number is totaled by selectable fighters per division. You have to count the duplicates to get an accurate comparison. If you count McGregor once, which division is being credited? He counts as 3. This method is the easiest way to see the selection discrepancy between UFC 2 & 3.

That makes sense. I’ll have to look at it from that perspective instead of total different fighters overall that are currently active
